Sold individually.1PK Natural mica is a lustrous rock made of multiple transparent layers which has been split into thin sheets and can be split an additional time by designers. This gives a faint sepia hue to anything it is placed over. Frequently used as a substitute for heavier and breakable glass sheet, mica adds a rich, vintage air to jewelry and decor designs. Lightweight mica sheet has a transparent, even surface. It can be easily ink-stamped, drilled, riveted and cut with scissors (safety goggles are recommended). Sheets are ideal for use with enamels for a plique-à-jour (backless cloisonne) effect. Mica does not conduct heat, so it can safely be baked in polymer clay projects. Sheet measures 5x3 inches (the size of a standard index card), thickness ranges from 0.08 to 0.12mm. Since mica is a natural material, colors, sizes and visual imperfections will vary.
