I needed a clock with large enough numbers to be seen across the room and this clock fit the bill. It has proven to keep accurate outdoor and indoor temperatures (just make sure you follow directions for setup and allow a little time for the settings to update). The outdoor temperature is very helpful when determining how to dress for the day. The only thing we find a little awkward is that the shading for the moon phase seems counter intuitive to that which we would have thought, but we have just had to reverse our thinking. It is also nice to look up to see the day and date in the morning. Overall I would highly recommend this clock!
I was familiar with this clock because my uncle has one. Whereas he doesn't have a sheltered outdoor spot for his temperature sensor, he has to bring the sensor in with inclement weather. I'm fortunate to have a protected area under my deck so I can always read the outdoor temperature in "indoor" comfort. The moon phase is a feature I don't have on my other atomic clock, so I'm happy to have this addition.
This is a great clock to have, You can see time & temperature at a glance it is one thing I could not do without, I have had one like this one for about 10 years and finally the sensor went out, I immediately ordered another one, it is well worth the price. I plan on getting all my family members one of these this year for a gift
I love this clock. The features are great. I always know the inside and outside temperature, day of the week, time and moon phase. The time is always correct and adjusts automatically for daylight savings. The outside temperature is a great feature for knowing how to dress for work or school every morning. I have my clock indoors and plan to get another one for my outdoor deck where I spend a lot of time. I am 72 years old and found it difficult to set everything. I called the toll free number and a really nice young man very patiently helped me until everything was set perfectly. It has since worked like a charm. Great product. I would recommend this to a friend.
I fish a lot it's my job and I need to know what day it is , what time it is , is it a full moon the next day ,what temp is it outside , what date it is and above all can this clock wake me up for the big day!!!! Answer is yes my friends , it's the best gift to yourself you can ever invest in the only thing it's missing is night dimer but maybe next years model. There are two colors to choose white and grey , I got the grey color and it looks more like gun metal sweeeet! So lets talk about the outdoors temp sensor, it is wireless big plus but not waterproof. This is what I did, I got a snack size zip lock bag put that little thing in there and sandwiched it between my window and the window screen it ain't going now where. Just checked it out 10 minutes ago as I'm sitting on my couch 80 degree toasty and outside it's looking at me reading 49 degree aaaaaah poor little sensor and it is very accurate. All you lucky retired folks , yeah the one's that always ask what day it is instead of what time it is haha , this clock is for you too. Okay for all you shoppers don't look any more this is your clock so go ahead and get one just like I did and enjoy your day if you can remember !!!!!!!! Time stand still for no one ........................
I didn't realize it didn't have back lighting. I would prefer it showed the time in the dark. Otherwise, it's great. Good value.
This is the first time I bought an atomic clock and I am really impressed with the total ease of setup and the multiple information display. I love having the outdoor temperature at a glance. The only thing I don't like is that you have to view the time directly on or the numbers aren't clear.
I have always been a fan of the La Crosse atomic clocks, and this product furthers my opinion. The size and overall appearance are excellent - and the value is exceptional! The only thing that kept me from giving it a perfect score across the board is that I would like to see a slightly greater contrast between the characters and the background. It is still easy to read, but if the black could get a little blacker, or the grey background could be a slightly lighter shade of grey, that would make this clock perfect!
temperature readings for outside are off by 3 to 5 decrees from actual readings.
Packaged fine. Write up showed a lot of good features. Tried it out and display kept failing at certain digits. Sent it back.
