Ok so i have battled itchy scalp my whole life. Trying product after product to no avail. This bar works great tho!! No itchy scalp!! Im so so happy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It smells so good and my hair feels very clean after I use it. I feel like it has also helped with my dandruff, so extra bonus. At first I was skeptical of using it for shaving but it worked well for that too. Definitely one of my favorite products.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the mini as a freebie with my purchase and wasn't sure what to expect. Bu it is hands down the best shaving soap I've ever used! It has wonderful slip, isn't too drying, and isn't too heavily scented. It does absorb water, so make sure to store it in a dry spot out of the shower. But it got me through many rounds of shaving my legs with no problem. My partner used it to shave his head and it worked well for that too. Neither of us tried it as a shampoo bar, so I can't speak to that (unless you count shampooing his hair to then shave it off). The fact it's a solid makes it even better than other shave creams/soaps/oils; you don't have to worry about the bottle leaking in your suitcase!
I was referred to Ethique through a travel group looking for simple, effective products with minimal packaging. I emailed the company for recommendations and ordered what they suggested, the Discovery Pack for balanced hair. Tip-to-Toe is marketed as a shampoo and shaving bar, and for me, this little mini proved to be the best of the three samples. While I use it for travel, I often use it at home since it works so well. I didn't think I'd find a bar shampoo for regular use, too many others failed. Here's the one I was looking for!

It works really well for shaving, which I was skeptical about, but it really is great for both legs and underarms. I use A LOT of hairspray to keep my think hair styled, and it gets all the hair spray out with out any extra effort. It lathers so well that I typically lather on my head then take the lather from my head to use on my body. which I think) makes it last even longer.I use this with the Wonderbar Conditioner and my head and body are happy!
I love using this for shaving my legs because it doesn't dry out my skin. But I like it even better as a hydrating face wash. It has enough slip to remove makeup but doesn't dry my skin out. I've used it as a facial bar for about six months now and I think it will be my regular go to cleanser from now on.
Mild, pleasant scent. Fresh, clean scalp. Should not take weeks to get it!
This bar is fabulous for shaving. Best performing shaving bar of any I have tried from any company. As others have said, it protects my skin, is not irritating, does not have a strong fragrance (that is a good thing for me), is not overly drying and of course I love the eco-packaging - its just about perfect except that it is blue! For health reasons I need to avoid both dyes and added fragrance. Why does this bar have to have two different dyes in it? Please make a dye free version! I got this in the trial size, but unfortunately because of the dyes, I won't be able to buy this again.
So my fiance used this specifically as a shaving bar- not as a shampoo bar. It does not lather enough to be a great shaving bar, it's just okay. Definitely not as a good as regular shaving cream. Scent wise its okay, its a pretty light scent.
