We bought this same item last year and it seemed to work good so I just bought two more in hopes that we can finally get rid of the mole problem

Although there were very mixed reviews on other sites, this product, thankfully, is working for us. We were spending $20/month laying down repellent that didn't seem to work all that well. We've had it in the ground for 2 1/2 weeks now and so far we have not seen any mole tunnels or dirt mounds. You can hear the noise from the device if you are outside in your yard and everything's quiet but I didn't find it distracting as another reviewer stated. Perhaps that mole chaser device was very close to where he/she was sitting. Ours is about 20 ft away from our patio, and as I said, it has to be very quiet in order to hear it. The noise lasts for about 1 - 1.5 seconds and goes off every 15 seconds. It sure beats twisting your ankle stepping on a tunnel when mowing the lawn! The instructions state that you can put it flush into the ground, but we prefer having the green top showing entirely so that we can find it easily when we have to change the batteries. We also have the plastic version (in our front yard). This metal one that you may be considering is better for durability and range. We didn't know it existed when we purchased the lower grade version. Definitely purchase enough of these to cover ALL of your property or the moles will just move to another part of your lawn. We live on 1/4 acre with the back yard being much larger than the front. This metal version is adequate for the back yard and the plastic one that we already had is adequate for the front yard.
OK, I tried all the fancy solar vibrator, sonic sound, windmills, you name it, I tried it but my yard still looked like it was plowed by a John Deer. I as a last ditch effort decided to try these from Walmart. I will have to say they are well made arrived fast and the batteries seems to be holding up well. The most important part..They moved the moles from my yard. I waited before writing this review until I saw real results and I have.. My neighbor wasn't as happy though. He has ordered himself a couple and since he is on the wood line we hope to keep them at bay there. Buy good batteries and follow the instructions. I have sandy soil so I had to put mine down with a pilot hole and then tamp the dirt really well around them. The firmer the soil the better it carries the vibration. These have worked well for me I have a large yard. I ordered 4 but have used only two so far and they are holding for now. I will keep the extras for later. I also liked the fact you can put these level with the lawn and then mow right over them, water tight seal hasn't let me down yet...Good investment..
Seems to be working. Coles are moving away from the device
It does have an annoying buzzing sound, but we put our away from open windows and we don't hear it unless we are outside. It seems to be working. We don't have any new holes in our yard.
just maybe 3 of these would of most likely been the number to handle my area of yard but i had so much mole and gopher damage I USED 9 OF THESE,,,,,,,, they got rid of some of the critters but not all yet
I have installed the molechaser a month hoping every day that the moles will go away but the moles are still very active coming up from the old mole holes or making new mole holes, some holes are even within 5' from the mole chaser. I have given up hope now.
This item does not work, I have moles all around this item, I had one of these before that was electric sonic buzz, and it worked great , but this one does not work.
I am very disappointed in the vibrasonic. The product makes a dull whirring sound and the moles and gopher are digging more they are not moving. I bought this tool with the expectation of some sort of result. So far nothing.
