We do have the ash around the wood stove. But sweeping wasn't doing the job and our other vacuum was getting clogged. With the SnowJoe woodstove vacuum it is much cleaner around the stove and it even will accept hot ash as well!. Less ash even in the room now.
Snow Joe Ash Vacuum makes it SO easy to clean my pellet stove every day. It's very easy to clean, the vacuum is very strong so no ash flies anywhere and it's light and very portable. This solved my entire pellet stove cleaning problem. Thank you for a great product!
The vacuum works great for ash. The vacuum pull is lighter than say a shop vac. to keep it from pulling fly ash through both cleanable filters. Could use a tapered tube to get into tighter areas and increase the velocity at the tip. All in all it works great.
Love the size and power of this unit. We use it for cleaning the ash from our pellet stove. The flex hose stores easily. Very pleased with another Snow Joe product.
This has plenty of suction and a well designed dust-free system. Obviously it will need to be emptied and cleaned out between uses - but that's not a big deal. I use it primarily to catch the ash and debris while cleaning out the chimney once a year.
Easy assembly and was ready to use! My 5 year old can use it, it's light weight and does exactly what it advertises, with no ash put into the air in my house at all!
We live in the mountains, and have fires (in the fire place) frequently. This unit does a great job at keeping our fireplace clean. I has excellent suction, and there is NO ash in the exhaust. The size is small and easy to use, and it appears to be very durable. I do recommend this unit.
Smaller and easier to use than my two regular shop vacs. The hose thoughtfully is shorter than that of a regular shop vac. A longer hose is not necessary for cleaning a fire place or wood stove and would be a nuisance to deal with. Only two issues at this point. 1) I wish the electric cord was at least two or three feet longer. And 2) the motor only being 5 amps is not very powerful so the suction, while able to get the job done, is relatively weak compared to most other vacuums. A 7 or 8 amp motor would be about right and make the job go faster.
its a good vac but has no accessory. doesn't work well on a pellet stove without them
