We are very happy with the performance of this blender. It really does pull the ingredients down, which is a great feature. Great buy at $40 considering suggested retail price is $70. The only thing I would change would be the buttons on the front. I would prefer the buttons be more flat to the blender so that they could easily be wiped off if needed.
This is one very powerful blender! I was a bit frustrated when our old blender "died". We didn't have it too long and were not looking forward to having to shell out more money. However, after having bought and used this little machine, I'm so glad we "had" to buy this Hamilton Beach product. The "whirlpool" type blending insures that all of the ingredients are incorporated, and the high speed takes care of any ice chuncks that dare to try to linger on.
I got this for my son for christmas. He said it did a excellent job chopping up the ice. He loved it. I may have to get one for myself!!
I had a blender that had just went(it was about a year old and it was a cheap model)so wanted something that had more power.So I bought a different blender.While I was in the middle of making my protein drink(this was the third time to be using my new blender)it quit working! So I returned it to buy this one(I had wanted this one from the beginning but it was sold out online and in the stores near me so I bought a different one.Big mistake!)and am so glad this one was in stock when my other new onw broke! This blender is great! I love it! No ice chunks at all! It also blends everything perfectly!
This product works just as described. No issues with ice or any other tough to blend items. We replaced our 7 year old Hamilton Beach with this one and are completely happy.
I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas and it is absolutely wonderful. We both use it to make smoothie and protein shakes before our workouts. It blends really smooth and there are no chunks. It's great!!!
I bought this product specifically for margaritas and have been pleased so far. My previous Osterizer didn't blend the ice and I had to constantly stir it with a spoon. This blender blends the ice without needing to stir it. I have also made fruit smoothies and they have also turned out very well. So far I am very pleased. I would recommend this blender to anyone with similar needs.
The WaveAction design works well to mix and move the bowl contents during blending which is great for making smoothies. I like the glass bowl for durability and for no reaction with the food contents. The design of the blade and seal assembly makes for easier cleaning than many blenders. I also like the way the blades engage to the motor drive compared to my old Oster blender (that's what failed on my old Oster) The only problem I've experienced is that this blender does not grind dry ingredients (dried chilies in my case to be ground with spices to the consistency of pizza peppers) as well as my old Oster blender - admittedly not something many people would do.
We purchased this blender to be able to make nutritious shakes for my Dad. He doesn't eat much and the doctors wanted us to make some high calorie-high protein shakes for him. This blender handles the frozen strawberries/blueberries very well. (Also makes great frozen margaritas for the rest of us!!) We are very pleased with our purchase and would recommend this product. It's very efficient and a good value. The price was right.
For the price, I don't think you can do better then this blender. Mixes well and seems very sturdy. My last blender was very expensive and I loved it, but it finally broke. I don't think I would ever bother spending a lot on any blender. So this blender, considering the price, is really a great buy; and in terms of function, right up there with the more expensive ones.
