Here I thought my razor was doing a great job until I replaced the head. Wow, what a difference, wish I had done it earlier.
found out that dealing direct for these items was the best pricing and with free shipping! Great way to extend the life of my shaver.
Made quite a difference with the comfort & closeness of my shaving experience as compared with the older foil/cutters combo. Wish the replacement set was $ cheaper than its present cost.
I used the original blade for a little over one year. I bought the replacement, installed it and it sure improved the shave. The razor it fits is also one of the best I have owned.
Very good replacement blades and screen, but they are a little pricey, since they cost approximately 1/3 the cost of a new shaver!
The gradual dulling of the blades kept me from knowing how much I needed to replace them. I had the razor for about 3 years and the difference was very noticeable. I also noticed an audible sound difference after replacing for whatever that's worth.
The blades are fine and no problem getting them but the replacement price is just so out of the fair price range it grates on me.
Not as close as the LV-61 5-blade, which I also own, but very good, overall. The neck area is somewhat problematic for this shaver, as with others, but above average. The original shaver's display failed about one year after purchase, and Panasonic replaced it. Replaced both the foil and cutters about 2.5 yrs. later, so good value, though not inexpensive. This is heavier than the LV-61, because it has two motors, per the text on the box. One motor in the body, and one in the shaving head - but for some reason it doesn't shave as close as the LV-61 dry shave. I just use this for shower shaves and keep the LV-61 for dry shaves now. Don't use too much shave cream or jell - it reduces the shave quality!
Item was received quickly and it was easy to change. I did not notice an improvement in shave quality even though the previous foil and blade had been in use for three years.
Used my razor for almost 3 years. Replaced the foil and blades. Noticeable difference, but not drastic. I would not replace annually, but would change out again between years 2-3. I have a medium thickness beard.
