I'm no longer a customer of Hellman's because of their high pricing and because of the thinning of the product...there was a day when Hellman's was thick and rich but now it falls off the knife and you literally have to spoon it onto your sandwich. I thought I'd give Heinz a try since it is less costly. I must say I was very surprised. My image may be fuzzy but if you look closely, you should see that I am holding the knife sideways....with Hellman's the mayo would have slid slick off onto the counter immediately. However, with Heinz, it did not slide off even when I turned the knife upside down and twirled it around! Personally, I don't like a mayo with an over baring taste and I found Heinz to be very tasty but not over baring in taste. If you have not tried Heinz, give it a try. I find that I use less of Heinz because it is thick so a little goes a long way.
i am very happy with this heinz real mayonnaise. it tastes good to me and i use a lot of it. i am very thankful to walmart.com for having groceries online. i don't know what i would do without walmart. the mayo is nice and thick but creamy. this is my favorite one right now. it arrived quickly and with no damage. thank you.
I have been a Best Foods only person for 60 years. Lately the price of their mayonnaise is only decent when on sale. So I tried this at $2.99 & I can't tell the difference! Now when Best Foods isn't on sale & I need mayonnaise, I will continue to buy Heinz. Heinz catsup is the only brand I use for catsup too.
Growing up my Mom only used Hellmann's Mayonnaise, and still does to this day, which is why I won't eat any dish she prepares using it. I hate Hellmann's Mayonnaise because it tastes like egg yolks, and is very greasy and watery. Heinz Mayonnaise has a delicious, light flavor with no eggy aftertaste. I add it to burgers, hot dogs, fries, onion rings, shrimp, chicken, crab cakes, potato salad, etc. It's perfect for barbeques and Summer cookouts. I opted to purchase this online because I was tired of buying one of the 11.5 oz. bottles every 9-10 days. I knew I needed it in a large jar so that it would last longer, but I was unable to find any in Walmart stores, Target, Publix, Winn-Dixie, or on Amazon. Finally, I managed to locate a 30 oz. jar on Walmart.com. I chose in-store pick up as my shipping option, and three days later I received confirmation that it had arrived. I had concerns that the jar I would receive would be expired, but thankfully it has a 2017 expiration date. In addition to that, I was only in the Online Pick-up line for about 3 minutes, which is the fastest I've EVER gotten out of Walmart. I don't think I've ever had such a pleasant experience with any of my previous online Walmart orders, which is sad because this is Mayonnaise.
This mayonaise is so thick and creamy!!! I can't believe how much better it is than either Hellmans (Best Food) or Kraft. I have used both of them for years, preferring Helmans over Kraft because of flavor and thickness. Hellmans has gotten so expensive I decided to give Heinz mayo a try. So glad I did!! I am going to buy more to put on my shelf. I really wish Walmart would stock this item in my local store!!
I have to admit being brand loyal to Hellman's mayo for about 20 yrs now. Lately the consistancy has seemed to change and it's looser or thinner. Tried Heinz on a whim and it is my new go to mayo. It is thick, holds up great in cold salads like pasta or potato and has a true mayo flavor. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it. As spendy as mayo can be, I want great quality also so I don't end up spending money on ingredients only to have the mayo ruin the dish.
I first tasted this mayo in a deli sandwich that had a little mayo packet in the box. Because it was so much better than my usual mayonnaise, I tracked it down to buy for myself. It is hard to find, but thanks to Walmart, I can keep my pantry stocked!
It is an incredible product and was available at a great price. And it arrived a couple of days ahead of the scheduled delivery date. True value delivered as always!
I had never tried this brand and bought it as a whim when I placed an order. It is super creamy and very delicious.
I love this mayo. It is the most similar taste to a homemade one. Good for sandwiches, French frys or saladas. The other mayonnaises have a distinct strong flavor that I don't like.. This is more neutral and you can mix it with any other sauce., mustard, lemon, etc.
