This seat is awesome, makes our old car seat look so old fashioned. It's super easy to fit with the latch and easy to move between cars. We were shocked by how much adjustment there is in the seat, it really is roomy and comfy, definitely should last us. But best of all it's a diono car seat so we know it is safe!
I was drawn to this booster seat because of its safety ratings, especially in regards to side impact protection. It seems to be a market leader in this important area. Thanks for keeping our kids safe!
This seat is SO easy to use and to switch between cars. It fits really well in the back seat of our extended cab pickup. The way it folds up is fantastic! My son has a petite frame so the narrower base fits him really well. He says it is very comfortable and he loves it. Diono car seats and boosters are the only brand we buy. They are absolutely worth the money!
We love how light weight and compact this is. It seems safer because the seat belt has a clearer path and buckles more easily. Plus my son loves that he has a "big kid" booster rather than the smaller kid car seat.
My 6 year old daughter loved her car seat during our 4K mile road trip that ended two days ago. It is easy to put in and take out and it adjusts width and height to make it perfect for kids of any size. When my daughter fell asleep, her head rested against the sides and she never had her neck bent like a giraffe. Because we were going on a road trip, we added a butt cushion, but we do that with every car seat. I used to be skinny and my kids all have no butts so the extra cushion helps.
Great design and very easy to install but the seat simply lacks comfort. Came with no padding or cushion at all for the kid to seat comfortable. He is seating on top of a hard shell. Kid complains about it on longer rides. Carrying back straps are also super simple with no shoulder cushion at all. This is not a light weight seat so don't imagine your wife carrying this through the airport (I don't think a child should carry this on his back) - it is simply too heavy and the simple straps don't distribute the weight across your back and shoulders). Great booster seat. It’s stylish and comfortable. We bought two even. Just one of them rattles way too much when not in use and it’s rather really annoying in my Tesla.
We have a 2019 Ford Expedition and this car seat does not work in the middle seat for us. We have to buckle our son every time and it is very hard to get the buckle in because the carseat is practically on top of the buckle. It is very frustrating. I have not tried to move it to other seats because i have other kids that use those seats.
Having owned multiple Diono carseats, I had high expectations for this product. However, it falls short. I had an extremely hard time getting the latch connectors to come out after our 2nd trip. It's nearly impossible for me to do by myself. I had to call my husband, and even he had a hard time. It took him almost 10 minutes to get the latches to pop out. You simply have to push down really hard, more than is acceptable, to get the latches to release. I truly believe that I had a faulty product, but after going back and forth with Diono customer service multiple times (they even suggested that I use a metal spoon to help press it...which honestly is ridiculous) they wouldn't replace the item unless I paid for return shipping back. Poor customer service and I will not be purchasing future products. Sticking with Clek, Uppa Baby and Nuna instead. Way better customer service and they stand behind their products.
