I have been using these tires for 7 years. I have been through rivers, ponds, mud holes, and its a daily driver. You can't wear these tires down. I have blew motors, tore rear ends out but never had to worry about problems with my tires. They are a bit pricey, and not that great on gas but I do, and will always have these tires on my truck.
I've had them for a month and they are quite and smooth for an all terrain. I'm not for sure if its the tire or not but it did take a lot of weights to balance them. I feel good about them after reading the reviews. These are on a jeep rubicon, just wish I could get 15 mpg.
First off, I have to say BFGoodrich has a customer for life. I just replaced my second set of All Terrain T/A KO's after......103k miles!!! I could have got another few thousand out of them, since I was just to the tread indicator. My set before these got me to almost 90k miles. I did more off roading on the first set. I also rotated my tires every time I got an oil change. Thank you BFG for a well made and durable tire!
Excellent tire, installed on my 2009 F150 4x4 SuperCrew. Granted I had to go up one tire size from the factory size, but the effects were negligible (2 mpg drop - gotta pay to play) and as an added benefit the tires look more proportional to the truck. Anyway, 20,000 miles on them and they are still new. Try that with factory tires!! The tread block shoulders also resist feathering when mounted on the front (a Ford tradition) and have excellent grip in the snow - very tough to goof-off (but not impossible) with these on your truck. One more thing...they balance very well. No shimmy, no shake. A bit of highway noise, but smooth as glass.
I put the BFG All Terrain KO's on my truck 4 years ago after hearing good things about them from my friends. My truck is an '06 GMC 1500 Z71 Quad Cab. I am an avid outdoorsman, but I also have a 66 mile/day roundtrip commute. These tires have gotten me into and out of some sticky places all while riding well and looking great! I just took them off this week with 96,000 miles on them, and they still had 2 or 3 32nds left in the tread. You can bet I put another set of All-Terrains back on the truck!
I bought these tires in 2010 to replace the good year Wranglers on my 2005 Jeep Sport. This tire is by FAR the best tire I ever had. They look mean, drive great, have no noise, and go through anything! I live in Florida, but I would love to try in the snow. If you want some kickin' tires, buy these!
I have done Duellers, Wranglers, Destinations and some Mich..... all terrains. I have been disapointed every time. I will not stray again. They ride well. Handle well on and off road dry , rain, sleet, snow, mud or gravel. And they don't hang on to gravel so when you hit the pavment is doesn't sound like you are being riddled by a machine gun. To top it off the are quiet and look GOOD.
Great performance, fast wearing. Had 3.5 sets on my 2002 Excursion in last 100,000 miles. 295/75r16D, 315/75r16D and most recently 305/70r16E. About 30-35K miles each set. Great performance in the snow when new, performance drops off in deeper snow with wear, as expected. Good performance on wet & dry pavement, decent on muddy roads: good all around tire. Chewed up the rear 315's while hauling equipment up steep gravel roads: not warranteed. Bought 2 new tires to match the front. Not happy with the handling of the D rated 315's on 16" rims for towing (7,000lb / 12,000 lb trailers) which is why I went to 305's this last time. Now going to 17" or 18" rims and considering all E rated tires in AT and MT designs, including the BFG AT KO. Perspective: Work truck has stock size 275/65r18 Toyo AT's: not as good in snow as BFG AT when new, about the same when half worn. Got 50K instead of 35K, lighter truck though. Jeep has 39.50 Iroks on locked 1-tons: Just adds perspective to the "decent on muddy roads" comment above.
These are three season tires only. I purchased these based on reviews and forums only to find out they had been new users and not ran them for tire life. I can see why they lost the M&S rating and BFG created the KO2. Tread pattern is closed and has verticle walls which trap and hold snow. After a sticky storm, my tires looked like white frosting cakes. I went back to 6 season old Wintermasters and had better grip. Good in sand, loose rock and when pressured down for crawling but would buy snow tires to change out at first sign of sticking snow. Also, they chewed up half life in 2 years as a rec vehicle. I drive a car to work everyday except snow.
I have had 4 set of Bfg all-terreain tires first set i got 65K out of last two set i have got lest then 50miles out of this tires. They are great on the farm and ride nice on the highway. I found the last two set i drove more highway and i think this may have casued the tire to wear a little fast but still pretty good for this type. i may try another brand just due to cost factors.
