This iight is excellent for doing being able to see going doing anything!!! I love it. My eyes used to get tired and would be blurry; haven't noticed that using the brighter light --- just like daylight.
I love every feature on this lamp; it's sleek and unobtrusive, easy to use, and most importantly gives me perfect lighting to cross stitch on 40 count linen. Extremely pleased!
This is my 2nd Ott light. I fine both of them very good. I am a knitter and my age requires good lightening to see what I am doing. They meet my needs!

I bought this lamp because I have other Ott Lite products. While it is a good lamp that meets my immediate needs, it is not as nice as some of my others. Assembly was a little more difficult but not hard. The lamp has a solid base but it leans and I can't get it to straighten. While it is adjustable, I find that the light (top part of the lamp) doesn't hold its position all the time. As I said, I do for the most part like the lamp and it is meeting my needs.
This provides a lot of light that helps to see your work in detail with accurate color. It is very bright, so we usually have to dim it a little, but it provides plenty of light. The only negative is that while the dimming feature is nice to have, you have to hold the button until the light hits the brightness you want, which can be a little inconvenient. Still, that's a minor issue.
If you can get this lamp to come on, it's great. The flexible neck works well, the adjustability to put the light where you need it is great for crafts and projects. However, that capacitive touch button for turning the light on doesn't always works. Had this light for a little over a year and I struggle to get the light to come on. It's annoying. The few times I've used the dimming feature is not worth the light never coming on. It's an expensive product with a huge weakness.
Light output great, however don't like the on off switch or the fact the connection moves too easily. This causes the head of the light to almost fall off when trying to adjust direction of light.
