I have been shaving with electric shavers for over twenty years. More than fifteen years ago I started using Panasonic shavers exclusively. Although this shaver is more expensive than other Panasonic shavers and their high-end competitors, it is worth EVERY penny. I have a thick beard...five o'clock shadow by three in the afternoon. Not with this shaver! It is like sitting in a barber's chair for a single edge shave! This shaver shaves that good. Panasonic has created something others could not- a truly "feels like butter" shave.
Like many, was concerned with paying this kind of money for a shaver. Almost went with a competitor, but hearing that this is still made in Japan swayed my decision. They say it takes a while for your face to get used to it...but from day 1 this shaves close....blade close and very comfortable!! It isn't loud...slightly louder than the rotary but not bad. Bonus....EASY to clean!! Just rinse after every use and you are good to go! The only slight complaint is no operation while charging. Luckily, it charges very fast....within minutes from zero it was up to 30%. This is a beauty!!
Only had a shop time. satisfied so far. Instruction print is small for an old guy like me. Shaves seem nice, rather close. Does charge up in only one hour which is quicker than what I had previously
This is my second panasonic shaver, last one was an Arc 3, which I had for about 4 years. I bought the Arc 5 primarily because I wanted a new shaver and the Arc 3 was starting to degrade (battery life and closeness of shave). Although I could have just reordered a new blade for the Arc 3, like I said earlier, I wanted a new shaver. Well, I am happy I pulled the trigger on the Arc 5, it is quiet, the battery power is great (charge every 3 weeks) and it shaves really well (cut my shaving time by more than half). It's expensive, but worth it.
I have used Panasonic shavers for 30 plus years but have always purchased the two and 3 blade shavers. The price on this LV65 exceptionally low so i thought I would give it a try. What a surprise, this shaver gives the quickest closest shave I have ever experienced, far superior to all previous Panasonic shavers I have owned.
I was at first quite skeptical about buying this panasonic ES-LV65-S as I thought nothing come close to the actual razor blade. I was wrong. Although, Gillette Fusion razors, the product I have been using for years, still have an slight edge over the electric razors, however, this unit come extremely close. What makes it superior is the convenience of using it anywhere; in the shower, in front of the sink, while in the car going to work and travelling. Cleaning is easy too, just rinse it as instructed. Completely satisfied with the result.
I have always used an electric razor. I have used Remington and Braun, but have always come back to Panasonic. I got a new Braun razor last Christmas from my wife, and it was their top-of-the-line. I used it apprx. 2 weeks and took it back for a refund. I went back to using my ES-883 that I have been using for the last 14 years. It still has the original blades! I finally broke down and bought this new one because the old one would barely keep a charge. I have cars that did'nt last that long! Here's to Panasonic! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
I happily owned a Panasonic ES8096 for many years but this new shaver has surpassed my expectations by far. I use this shaver not only for my face but I also us it to shave my head for the smoothest shave I have ever experienced. This shaver is so easy to use I have cut my shave time by over half. This Is by far the best electric shaver I have ever used. The Panosonic ES-LV65-s is somewhat pricey but well worth every penny.
I've tried them all, many other brands of electric rotary and foil shavers at a wide range of prices. This model is overall the best electric shaver I've found. It is powerful and effortlessly buzzes through my beard as long as I use it daily. If I let my beard get a bit longer it has some trouble with longer flat lying hairs. I can trim those with a rotary shaver, but some of those leave me with a burning sensation, skin irritation and don't shave nearly as close or as smooth as this model does. Nice trimmer too. Highly recommended!
Just started using the razor a few weeks ago. It gives a very close shave. Much closer than any electric I have used before. Only two minor complaints. 1) It's a little noisy. Not a lot but enough where it can be heard outside the bathroom. 2) The razor has a large head which is fine until you try to shave under your nose. The body of the razor does not allow easy access to the blades when trying to get close under the nose--and no, my nose is not that big. I manage to get it done but if the head was a little more streamlined it would an easier shave in that area
