One of only 20 coins graded Mint State by PCGS! This 100 Lire coin was issued by the Vatican in 1933-34 for the second Christian Jubilee in the 20th century. The jubilee's were normally held every 25 years but the one in 1933-34 was held in commemoration of the death of Jesus. These Vatican Gold coins do not become available on the rare coin market very often. It has a right facing likeness of Pope Pius XI on the obverse and a standing figure of Jesus on the reverse.
