It's always better to be able to charge 2 batteries while still using the camera.
I hesitated to buy this for a year but finally decided to buy it. After that I regret that I should have bought this at the same time as I bought GoPro Max. I never forget to charge battery because I can tell the remaining battery level by the color of LED lamp.
Let me first start by saying I love my GoPro Max. But the batteries don't last very long. For instance, my battery died after about 2 hours of hiking with a constant recording. That said, I bought this charger and extra battery to minimize the downtime of my recording. I'm excited to have multiple batteries charged and ready to go at any given moment instead of having to wait on the battery sitting in the GoPro to charge. Now I can charge 3 batteries at once!
The concept is genius. Two charging, one in the holster. Sweet. When I leave the house batteries are not the reason I worry.
Decided to get this so I'd have a second battery and wouldn't have to plug the camera up itself to the computer to charge, could just use a actual charger. Using a iPhone wall adaptor it does well to plug in and leave overnight, takes care of itself. From totally dead it'll take roughly around two hours to charge. It also charges if you have the correct plug in the car also. For times you may want to take with you on the go.

GoPro Max Camera is terrible I should have returned it to GoPro. Instead of purchasing batteries for it.
Purchased this about a year and a half ago, used it 2 times it did ok! Third time it will not take batteries to a full charge! Only 80 to 90%! Then says batteries are faulty! Charge them in my camera and they go to 100%!
I had a terrible experience with Go pro, I am going on vacation next week and I needed the extra juice. I asked for a reshipment denied, I ask for a refund denied. Will never order online again.
I ordered the dual battery charger for the hero 8 black. When I received the charger, the batteries didn't fit the charger.
