This basecoat brush is a must have. They are almost never found in brush sets, but make covering large areas on the canvas so much easier. These have a great ergonomic feel. They are a larger handled brush which makes them great for starter brushes for little hands. If you follow Bob Ross at all, you know how important a solid base brush is. They are a medium texture bristle.
I love how easy it is to use. I enjoy how well it fits into my left hand. I did wash it with soap and water and allow to air dry before putting away. I do like the big area it covers and how well it covers it. Overall; easy to use and covers very well.
These basecoat brushes are really comfortable to use while painting a larger surface. I especially like the indentation in the brush that is right where you would naturally grip the brush. I did not run into any loose bristles and the paint applied very evenly on my canvas. You can also get a really nice, crisp line if needed as these have a straight edge. A plus is they are bright green so easy to see when thrown together with other brushes. I'm really happy with this set and I think they will last through several projects.
I love these basecoat brushes for my oil paintings. They have nice, thick bristles that apply the paint evenly, the handle is comfortable and easy to hold and the synthetic bristles are easy to work with and are very easy to clean. These brushes are made from quality material that will last a long time.
These are awesome if you are a painter you know sometimes you biggest flat brush still isn't big enough! These brushes worked perfectly and are actually much bigger than my biggest paintbrush in my pack of brushes. This set it's great, especially for bigger areas of canvas.
These paint brushes are good quality for painting on canvas or painting walls, which I originally got them for. As you can see in the pictures I mixed a blue and teal color and the paint washed out of the brushes and sponges easily as long as I didn't let it sit. Even getting left out to dry i was able to warm soak them and the paint came out. Three bristles of the brushes work really well painting around the edges of rooms if a home.
These are some of my favorite brushes. They are well made with no loose parts and are very comfortable to hold. They make quick work of covering large areas. The bristles are nice and I've had none fall out while painting. These are wonderful quality and far exceeded my expectations.
My son is an aspiring artist and trying to figure out his favorite mediums/tools so wanted him to have a lot of options so he can explore and figure out what he loves. He's a novice, so not a lot of experience to compare with, but they seem like great brushes. Some of the flat brushes were a little stiff right out of the package, but they softened up very nicely. I really like that they are color coded and it stays consistent with the different sets. The flat brushes are green, the angled are blue, etc. Makes it easier for him to see what he needs and just find the right size. The handles are very sturdy and well made. The bristles seem very secure and are of good quality. They are not the cheap type that are stiff as do not blend or glide well. They hold paint and glide very nicely. Overall I think these are great sets with a lot of variety in each pack and a lot of sets to choose from. They do look like they will hold up well if cared for, but time will tell.
Set comes with 2 identical brushes.. I love the hand feel of them with the wide finger groove indentation. Makes for a natural feel when using it. The bristles are soft enough to not leave a bunch of brush lines which is great for base coating. Over all Im gonna be using these alot!
I like that this set offers 2 thick brushes, I just wish they were different sizes. The brushes held paint well and were comfortable to hold. The tip of the brushes are nice and crisp. The brushes came clean well with soap and water. Overall, this is a good base coat brush set.
