I must admit I thought I was getting double-sided fabric tape that would be a permanent alternative to sewing hems or seams. This hello HOBBY Double-sided Fabric Tape is only for TEMPORARY use. It is not washable. It cannot be sewn or ironed. It is not designed to tape clothes against skin. However, the tape itself seems to be good quality. I got 5 yards (15 ft) of tape, in a handy roll. The tape is clear, so it wouldn't be obvious if I do not get it positioned perfectly. The tape is VERY sticky, so follow the package directions; and when you remove the protective paper, be careful not to allow the tape to fold over or tangle itself. The tape, with protective paper still attached, is easily cut to a custom length. You can also cut the width for a narrower tape if needed. At first, I struggled to think up uses for temporary tape. Soon, I found many clever ways to use this tape. Here are a few of them: •Emergency repair of hem or seam, if there's no time for sewing •Hem pants that I usually wear with heels, so I can wear them with flats •Adjustments to costumes, or to make a garment bodice more modest •Apply fabric to party decorations or craft projects: line an Easter basket, wrap flower vases, create holiday decor, and secure fabric on crafts Just remember to remove this temporary tape before laundering or washing your items. It is hard to get the tape off some fabrics, but that strong adhesive is the reason it works so well. I do recommend this hello HOBBY double-sided fabric tape for temporary projects.
Works good I used it on the hem of my pants That I needed to wear on my trip. It's pretty easy to use a lot easier than trying to sew them. Stayed together the whole day with no issue. Easy for beginners
The Hello Hobby Double Sided Clear Fix It Tape gets the job done! I was surprised by how strong of a hold it has. I recently used it to baste a pair of my daughters pants in order to hem them. However, I could have just used the tape and not even pulled out the needle and thread because I think it would have held them. This tape will definitely come in handy in the future for other quick fixes.
This double side fabric great has many purposes. Yes it can work on hem lines. It also can hold down iron-on images temporarily. I am designing logo shirts for my yoga business and before I am ready to commit to a logo and is location on the shirt, this tape works great. The tape held the iron-on throughout an entire yoga class. Its strong and flexible.
Great double sided tape that has the protective layer that is easy to peel off. The hold on the tape seems to be very sturdy and time will tell how long things will last. Overall a solid product for my family's crafting needs.
I bought the tape to attach my jacket to my dress. sadly it came loose which could have been my fault. I'm sure it has many uses besides fabric
This clear double sided tape is perfect to put in your bag for emergencies with hems that have come undone. It is also helpful for quilting squares and temporarily keeping fabric, leather and paper in place. There is no residue left after using. The only drawback is that it is only for short term use. Use for temporary repairs and quick basting without pins. Easy to use by cutting the tape for desired length, peel off paper and apply with firm pressure. Make sure you removed the tape before laundering.
This tape is easy to use and cost-effective. I have used it to fix a loose hem on curtains. I was pleasantly surprised as to the way it adhered to my fabric. I will have enough to last me for years to come. not sure how well it will work for other fabrics but it worked for my linen curtains.
We tried using this on multiple things it Is just Not sticky enough to hold anything. We tried things like light as paper, we tried shirts and different cloth material. Its just not tacky enough to hold anything.
When I first put this on my dress it was working ok. Within 3 hours it was starting to bunch and roll and not staying in place.
