Review of Safety 1st adhesive cabinet and drawer latches I like that this comes in a large eight pack; that gives me enough to do all my cabinets. After reading the short instructions, these are super simple to install. I just used the adhesive (peel and stick). These come with screws also if needed, but I don't think that I will need to screw them into my cabinets. I just installed them, so unless the adhesive weakens over time, they should be fine. These are easy to switch over from the "lock" to the "off" position if they do not need to be used for a period of time. These do take a little effort to push down with just one finger, but that is kind of the point. I love that these are easy to install. Overall five out of five stars.
Safety 1st Adhesive Cabinet Latch's work really well to keep an ever exploring baby out of places she shouldn't be. The set of latches comes with everything you need, clean the surface a bit and peel off the sticker cover. They are very easy to align where you want and stick on. I did this over night so it would give the adhesive time to secure itself before the baby started tugging on it which worked great. The adhesive is very strong and I have complete confidence it will hold up to some heavy tugging. They worked well all the cabinets and even some drawers depending on how they are constructed. One great feature is the latches turn so they can be kept unlocked if need be. I would for sure recommend these to keep baby safe.
If you have little ones you know cabinet safety latches are a must. Thankfully I have some peace of mind now because we got these safety 1st latches to try out. To start with I love that it doesn't require tools because it's the adhesive kind. I'm very pleased with how great it holds. Installing them are very easy and fast. I have these on our cabinets & drawers and they are doing their job. If you need to move the latches all you would need is some adhesive strips and you would be back in business.
Set of 8 child proof latches with strong 3M adhesive to attach the latch mechanisms. Also includes screws which I didn't use cause the adhesive seems to be strong enough. Easy to install followed the included instructions. I did have trouble turning the latch after initial installation. But I used some pliers and was able to turn it easily. At first it is a little difficult to find where to push to get the latch released but after playing with it I was able to it figure out.
These are the Safety 1st Adhesive Cabinet Latch (8pk), White These adhesive cabinet & drawer latches install in seconds no tools or measuring needed. Toddler tested, easy access for parents, rotate to disengage for times when the latches are not needed. I'd recommend these latches, easy to install a great way to keep the children out of your cabinets.
These are a must have if you have little ones in the home. They work great for keeping my nosy grandson out of the cabinets. They're very easy to install. I like that there's adhesive so you can put the pieces where they need to be without having to mark spots and hoping you got it right before you start screwing them into place. Read the instructions carefully and you'll know exactly how these latches need to be installed. There are steps you need to follow to do it perfectly. Once you get the first one in they rest are easy.
First of I LOVE the idea of these. I love the new added feature to unlock and lock the latch. I wish that was around when I first started having kids. I really like that it has the option to be stuck on with the 3m tape, or screwed on. The only draw back for me is they won't work with my cabinets. I don't have special cabinets or anything, I actually have a more common style. But it just won't work. I really wish they did however because I do love the concept. I feel it's because the base is so chunky, so my cabinet doors cannot shut completely with them on. Overall I do recommend, but make sure they work for your cabinet.
These locks are great. We've used the screw-install cabinet locks in the past and they work great, but they are such a pain to install, ESPECIALLY when you have lots of low-level cabinets. These, however, are SO easy to install! They use strong adhesive instead of screws. Instead of 5-10 minutes a piece like traditional locks, these take like 1 minute. I was skeptical that the adhesive would hold, but so far it has. Another bonus is these child locks can be easily modified to not lock for periods of time when you don't need them to lock. Just spin the latch til it clicks. So easy! The only thing I don't like about these locks is that even when engaged, there's still quite a wide opening that a little arm can easily reach into. In fact, I can stick my whole hand inside while it's locked. Still, overall these locks serve their purpose and are SO much easier to install than screw locks.
I learned quickly after multiple attempts that these do not work with all styles of cabinet doors and drawers. With my older style cabinet doors and drawers I couldn't close my doors completely with these latches. I didn't like my drawers being cracked open because anything I spilled ended up in the drawers. If your doors and drawers have some inset the latches should work but be considered a permanent solution. I peeled paint off my cabinet door trying to get one of these off after realizing that it couldn't shut tight with these. The latches can be used 2 ways, one child locks but if you turn the lock piece you can easily open and shut doors. I did notice the locks should be closer to the opening than it says in order for them to work properly. Nice easy to set up latch but won't allow every style cabinet door or drawer to close tightly, also may pull off paint like on mine if you try to remove them.
These cabinet locks work very well, but boy are they complicated. It took two adults a lot of time to figure out how they work. Installation is easy. You can either screw them (screws are provided) or use double-sided tape. Screwing would last longer obviously. I like that the hold is strong and that my child is not able to open cabinets with cleaning chemicals.
