I already use many EcoTool brushes. This retractable brush is great! The bristles are high quality and you can use this as a foundation brush or to apply blush. The retractable brush is great...you can throw it in your purse and not worry about it making a mess. I really like this for traveling too. I highly recommend it.
So I've had this for 2 weeks now and absolutely love this. It makes blending concealers and foundation perrrrrfectly! I only wish it was a little longer. My concealer doesn't crease in as much anymore. Trust me you won't regret buying this brush.
What I mean by a nice replacement is, rather than trying to get into those small contoured areas of your face with your finger when trying to apply foundation or concealer, this brush, which is shaped like your finger, does just that. It is not a tool used to apply foundation over the complete area of your face, but those hard to get at areas. The brush is very soft, and doesn't shed. The retractable tube is easy to use, and I like it because it keeps your brush clean of dust or allergens. Hang on the green pouch it comes with for travel. It will protect the tube from scratches. I want to stress, as well, it is eco friendly. No cruelty to animals to make the brush, and the entire tube is made of recycled materials. I am very pleased with all the Ecotools. Earth friendly!!
I like this brush especially for the fact that it can safely be carried in your purse without getting messed up. The brush itself is great for makeup application, very soft on the skin & provides even coverage. Would highly recommend.
The EcoTools Retractable Foundation Brush is a soft, finger-shaped brush that helps create a flawless foundation application. The domed tip of the brush can be used around the contours of the face to bring your face to life. As the brush is retractable and there is a pouch for the brush as well (see pic), it is a nice travel brush. Throw it in your bag and you can do your makeup on-the-go (not in your car, please, unless your parked). The brush is made up of cruelty-free bristles, the case is recycled aluminum, and the pouch is made up of primarily natural materials. (For more information on materials, you can visit ecotools.com) I found the brush to be soft and easy to use (although I'm still tempted to use my fingers). It's easy to keep clean due to the retractable cover and the pouch. At $7.15 it is reasonably priced in comparison to many manufacturers' brushes, particularly since it is a cruelty-free product. Ecotools has many other products. If something they make is not at Walmart, it is worth checking online at Ecotools.com. They have more than brushes online (think eye lashes, hair brushes) as well as a number of hair tutorials.
The brush comes in a textile, woven package, to keep in line with the eco keyword but I suspect you will never use this since the brush also has a cap. The brush's total length is a bit on the short side, even when extended, but it does a good job of spreading powder onto your face and since it has a cap, I can keep dust and lint better off it.
Wife loves this Brand but where it says Retractable it is not,you have to put cap on it as it was not retractable. She did like the thickness of the brushes to put on Makeup or what have you. She works in a Salon so everyday she has to put on Make Up. Nice sturdy pouch and very easy to see what your buying. Maybe this one was not working but the company needs to take a look at what they call retractable
The quality of the brush is good and very soft but firm at the same time. It applies my foundation smoothly and evenly, Although it works better with the powder foundation. The case is a little light and I haven't used it long enough to see how it will hold up to many retractions. As I don't carry it in my purse, I would prefer it to be non retractable. I will check Eco Tools selection for this same brush on a permanent handle. Overall a good make up brush.
The surface of the brush was small to cover my spot with ease and the length of the handel of the brush was short. It would have been more convienent if the handle of the brush was long. In all it gave an average result.
The EcoTools Retractable Foundation Brush was apparently designed for convenience and portability. The brush is immediately exposed when removing the cap, and a telescoping sleeve allows the cap to be replaced without deforming the brisles. The entire unit is compact and fits easily into a purse or pocket for travel. See the video for a demonstration of opening and closing this brush. I turned over the testing of this brush to my wife, since I do not use makeup myself. She finds the brush to be essentially useless because the bristles do not have the soft tips required to properly pick up and then release makeup onto the skin. In fact, the brush doesn't pick up the makeup at all; it can be used to gather a powder into a little pile, but it will not pick up powder from the pile. We provide a photograph comparing the brush head to a commonly-used foundation that does perform as expected. Perhaps the brush is designed for a liquid foundation of some type. If so, there are no included instructions to that effect. On the basis of performance (as a foundation brush), we cannot recommend this product.
