I have several Kabuki brushes but this one is my new favorite. I love the angled cut which makes it easier to get around the eye, nose area. The handle and brush size are perfect and easy to hold and control. The best is the bristles cause they are unbelievably soft. Never found a softer brush. Packing says its made from cruelty-free bristles and handle is recycled aluminum. Even the packaging is from recycled materials so this company has done a great job. A must try!
Until recently I had never heard the word "Kabuki" before. I looked this word up and found that it comes from the Japanese culture. It is a form of a Japanese drama / musical that is characterized by elaborate costuming and very expressive facial make-up. The reason that the make-up is so dramatic is because the objective of the performance is the " beauty" portrayed and not the reality of the story that is being told. I suppose this is why ECOTOOLS named this particular brush, the Angled Kabuki. I am figuring ECOTOOLS' objective is to provide make-up tools to help a woman become as beautiful as she can when she is applying her make-up. As I have seen on their packaging, "Look Beautiful"-" Live Beautiful"!! Living beautiful goes along with the ECOTOOLS company's position, that the environment needs to be cherished and protected for the future. The use of recycled materials, "cruelty free" bristles on their brushes and recycled aluminum proves that point. I am very impressed with this company's objectives and how they are presented. Now, the Angled Kabuki brush is a firm, full brush with an angled end. The brush head is round and the bristles are very dense and very soft. The handle is short which makes it easier to buff or apply the powder or bronzer in small circles all over the face and or the neck. The firmly packed bristles help to provide more coverage. That's why the brush is made this way. A good many ladies use this brush to apply mineral foundations. I do not use mineral foundation / make-up. I suppose I should consider changing because mineral foundation is safer, it allows your skin to breath, and it has an excellent SPF. Even though this brush is excellent in applying mineral foundation, it can be used with ANY foundation, blush or bronzer. I have reviewed 5 other ECOTOOLS brushes and each time, I write about the neat and useful pouch that comes with these products. The Correcting Concealer is the first one that will not fit in this pouch. Since, it is a small brush it should not take up much room anyway. If this is an issue, ECOTOOLS makes a retractable Kabuki Brush if you would rather have that feature. The company also makes hairbrushes, eyelashes, and Bath and Spa products. I have no problem recommending this company's products to anyone.
I loved how soft this brush is. It's really big. It applies powder very smoothly. I feel like I'm airbrushed. I like the angle. The angle gives you some control. The handle is nice. It's made with recycled material which makes the nature girl inside of me very happy. Made in China. You can't have everything. Other then wishing it were made in the States I have nothing bad to say about this product. Crazy soft. Which is what makes it a great brush. I do some face painting and I tried it with my face paints. Being so soft it applied the paint smoothly. Being so big it is a good brush to use to get paint on quickly. But for daily use it works great with powder.

My old brushes do not stand up to the ease of use, versatility, and feel of this makeup brush. The angled brush is extremely soft and feels wonderful on my skin. I use it to apply my mineral foundation and the coverage is phenomenal. I found the cleanup to be very easy with the EcoTools Angled Kabuki Makeup Brush. Simple cleaning methods include using warm water and apply a mild soap to the brush. Lather the brush using the warm water and soap mixture. I chose to pat the brush dry, but allowed it to air dry over night for complete drying time.

I do not normally use a kabuka brush. I have always preferred a powder puff because I felt like I got a more even coverage from the powder puff. I have now changed my mind. I really like the softness of the Eco Tools makeup brush line. It has the feel of a more expensive brush with out the price tag. The angle of this brush also gives you a more uniform coverage when applying the powder than a flat brush. It cleans very well with just soap and water. I highly recommend the entire line of Eco Tools make up brushes. Most of them come in a cute canvas package that is reusable as a carry case. This is convenient way to keep your brushes clean when travelling. The handles are wooden and the bristles are attached with either a bronze or a decorative metal band. If, like me, you've never liked a kubaka brush, I suggest you give this one a try. I promise that you won't be disappointed.
I love the way this brush is angled, it's perfect for loose foundation application. It's got a small handle, which for me, makes it easier to use. The bristles are really soft so it's not irritating to my skin. I used it to apply my loose powder foundation. It gave me great coverage and no patchy looking spots on my face. I used it for about a week and then I let my teenage daughter use it for about a week. I never got it back. She absolutely loved it. She let me know that she wanted all her brushes and makeup tools to come from EcoTools if they were all going to be this nice. I agree...This one is a keeper. I plan on looking into more EcoTools brushes for all my makeup. I would recommend this makeup brush. It a wonderful item.
I chose to review this kabuki brush as part of the Spark Reviewer program. I use a kabuki brush every day to apply powder (and have been through several brushes and brands!) but have never tried this brand before. I was very impressed with the size of the brush as well as the softness of the bristles. Ecotools is a very nice quality brand, and I love them because they use recycled materials in their products. I used this brush to apply face powder over my typical moisturizer. I found the brush almost too soft to correctly apply my base powder. I did like the smoothness and softness of the bristles, but I feel this kabuki brush would be better suited for application of a "setting" powder once I have applied my makeup. It may even work okay for bronzer application. I am still very impressed with the workmanship and quality of the brush and do plan to purchase more brushes from this line. I attached a photo showing the size comparison with my typical kabuki brush (smaller and more compact/tight bristles) and this angled kabuki.
I have tried a few of these type of brushes. I would recommend it to a friend for a soft bristle over all powder setting brush. It's not that good for smoothing out blusher all over since its kind of soft and flimsy but, for an over all powder setting/smoothing brush it's good. It had a nice handle and was pretty. I did like seeing it in my makeup drawer. Some brushes aren't very attractive but, this one is. The angle was good. Just about right if you want an angled Kabuki.
This brush is extremely soft , Beautiful color, its great to apply setting powder, I dont use it for bronzer cause is not dense enough for that matter, I like to apply my besame french vanilla powder and the guerlain meteorites with this brush.
