I've had the Nest, Ecobee, and now this thermostat. I have to say, initially I wasn't impressed by the interface as it looks outdated. However, expecting the visual from a nest app, quickly passed when I began operating and testing the app. It just works! It's easy to setup the weekly schedule and modify on the fly. I be tested it away from home it just works! No delay no inaccuracy etc. Now, is there room for improvement? Yes, every modern device should follow a continuous improvement methodology. The thermostat offset is interesting to work with. I bought the backplate and the device looks stunning and modern. I'm glad this is an option in a very competitive market. A++++
This thermostat was simple to install. It took maybe 30 minutes time from start to finish. I love being able to use my phone to adjust temperature since my thermostat is in a off the grid place in my home. It is programmable which is a plus and I haven't programmed mine yet but the instructions seem as easy as the installation was.
This thermostat was free (only had to pay for shipping) on SJ marketplace for SJ gas customers. It was so easy to install. Very user friendly for not too tech savvy individuals! I love it and the fact that I can make the background PURPLE! Bonus point: there is an app you can use to adjust settings any time from your phone.
Installed 3 of these thermostats in a home with 3 separate hydronic heating zones. Wiring was pretty straightforward. Followed instructions to set up WiFi and remote access, which was a bit tedious, but worked great. What's most impressive is how well the app works on both mobile phone, tablet and Windows PC. I highly recommend this thermostat.
This is a great Wi-Fi thermostat. It not only allows me to easily regulate the temperature at home but allows me to monitor it when I'm in my winter home, insuring my furnace is working and no freezes. I have 2 other Honeywell Wi-Fi thermostats. This one has improved software making it easier to set up
Installation was fairly straight forward. I some garbage thermostat from the original install so I had to buy the additional cover plate. As for function, this is one of the easiest thermostats I have ever used. If you like a smart thermostat that is easy to use manually, this is it.
We love are new thermostat. It keeps the temperature steady and at our set point. My wife likes to change the background color, change the temperature from her phone, and setting different temperature for nighttime. I also like that it shows outside temperature.
Easy to install. Amazing custom color options, mine it matched perfectly to my paint color. The app is easy to use, but could be a lil more updated visually. This thermostat stays connected to the WiFi just as it should, no random dropping like other brands.
Thermostat is working very well but I needed customer support to set it up properly. The instructions are printed so small I needed to take pictures with my phone and then enlarge them to see them. The phone app is easy to use but I suggest you program your system using a computer.
The thermostat worked great for the first couple months, then it randomly started to cycle power on and off without reason. I took the faceplate off and and checked the wires and everything was tight and everything had continuity. When it eventually comes back on, it's always fighting to catch back up. So I have it set higher then normal to try and predict the shut off now so I'm not left freezing.
