Smashbox TRY IT KIT Halo + BB Light/Medium : BB Cream, Halo Powder, Primer & Brush

Good powder but not what I expected.

The BB cream is kind of heavy for my taste, but if you want a medium to full coverage BB cream then you will probably love this. Also, my complexion is fair and although the BB cream I received in this kit says "fair" it is still a little too dark for me. The Halo powder is really the reason why I bought the kit in the first place because that is what I wanted to try. First off, it's also a little darker than what I wanted but it's a great powder. It can be worn without foundation which I really like but I wouldn't suggest it be worn alone if you have a lot of imperfections or blemishes you want to cover. As far as it being "hydrating" , you can feel like a cooling effect when you apply it, but I didn't notice a huge difference in appearance from any other high-end powder I've tried. I took away one star because the price of the powder when bought alone is really expensive and since I felt that it didn't blow other powders out of the water, I don't think it's worth that price tag. That being said though, using these 3 products together provided a really pretty finish and I didn't need to use foundation at all. I would recommend this kit for people with normal skin, not so much for people who have a lot of dark spots or imperfections you want to cover. Overall a good kit for the price.
