There weren't many instructions. If your filter mounts horizontally like mine, be sure to fill it completely with water before installing. I did not do this at first, and some air became trapped in the filter, creating a bubbling sound whenever water would run through it. after removing the filter and purging the air with water, it is silent, as expected
I've tried quite a few filters and I never would drink out of my fridge raider until I got this filter it's amazing and taste great. Anybody who drinks water knows that water does have a taste to it and you can tell if you're an Avid water drinker. This filter taste great and lasts a long time for me I would recommend.
The item arrives in the condition stated, I really don't care about a tear to the packaging. I am concerned about the item. It was easy to install without any problems. The water tastes better than tap. The filters last a long time. Good buy for the price versus the store brought at 200.98.
Thus was the filter I needed. It took longer to get out of the package than to install it. We purchased a new home that had a Whirlpool refrigerator that took this filter. We have treated well water and the water from the dispenser had an odd taste to it. A new filter did the trick and it tastes perfect now. I'm working on the chlorine balance for the water treatment, so water from the faucet can sometimes have that chlorine smell, but this filter eliminates it.
I have been installing these filters in our refrigerator for the past three years and find them to be an excellent replacement for the filters, exactly the same. You have to be aware that all filters are not created equal, quality, in this case, is much more important than low cost............after all you are drinking the output!
I purchased this to replace a filter in my frig. This new model replaced the original model. I was hoping that this was correct info since I looked at many models before making my decision. It was perfect and took about 1 minute to install. I will buy my next ones from this vendor for sure
Super easy to install and the package shows exactly what to do if you've never replaced this specific water filter before. The water tastes so clean and pure, a HUGE improvement from our expired filter. Definitely recommend if this product will fit with your fridge model.
I don't know WHAT kind of filter I had before. It looks the same, but this one is way better. I bought the other at a discount on another site, and I regret it now. I've done a lot of reading, and filters like this are easily knocked off and often times they are made to LOOK perfect on the outside, but the inside is anything but what it is meant to be, oftentimes simply newspaper! I thought our water dispenser was just bad. It was the filter though. Once I swapped for this filter, the water comes out of the dispenser like it's on turbo! It's probably 2 or 3 times the amount that we got with the other filter installed. In short, don't cheap out on filters - you get what you pay for (even if they LOOK the same).
I bought this product and my water now taste like nothing (which is a good thing) I could not be happier with this filter. The water taste even more pure than the original filter that I had been using for a few years. Do yourself a favor, spend the money on this, you will not regret it
