We had one two years ago and it stopped cooling. I guess it’s one year warranty expired right on schedule. But in an emergency situation we needed another one and so far it’s performing as expected. We hope it lasts longer than it’s one year warranty.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I spent 2 weeks browsing for a/c unit had a 15yr old 20,000 btu unit in wall and wanted something with same dimensions and this 1 fit perfectly I did not know about other features had.
This is a great A/C we bought this to replace our old one that started not cooling the house anymore. It worked great cooled the house like ours did when it was new. We loved our old one searched for the same one but it was no longered made, this was as close as we could get and it worked great.

The a/c worked great and cooled the room quickly. The a/c was not too loud and I used the energy saver mode. Our last window a/c lasted 20 years, doubt this one lasts that long. Case did come with a dent in it.

So check it out for dents as soon as u receive the product. Have not used it yet to evaluate how well it cools but with hot temps on. Horizon I think I will know if it is any good. Looks about like the 22 year old a/c it is replacing. Don't think it will last as long as the old one.
Big unit, the brackets for holding the unit in a window will ruin your siding if not careful. Very LOUD unit. Can hardly hear the TV in the same room
Upon opening box, it was very clear that this item was not new. We decided to install it anyway figuring it didn't matter if it was new or not as long as it worked. The unit did not work, the outlet was getting power but the ac wasn't. The buttons on the plug weren't clicking so I'm thinking that may have been the culprit. Either way, I scheduled a pickup to return the item. And will be ordering from Amazon instead.
My home is 98°. After installing this unit, the unit would not work. I've been having it for four days and have to wait five days in order to get the LG to come out and look at the unit. The angle of the side pull outs, makes it hard to slant the unit.
They need to just call their suppliers and do the world a favor and stop making this junk. piece of junk lasted 2 months and blows almost warm air. it's loud and heavy, and now it's going to be a pain in my side trying to get this pile of junk out of my house. im already in the process of contacting LG.. good luck to you if yours works.
just installed. The comrressor is very loud. It's upstairs and i can hear it kicking in downstairs in living room. Old GE was very quiet. I wouldn't buy another one.
