Choose this LG air conditioner to replace a a 9 year old off brand unit. This unit is working great. I bought it so it would cycle on and off when it got to temperature, and it's doing just, that. I hope I have/ use it for many years to come. Great purchase.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This air conditioner is a huge improvement over our last model. It cools way more efficiently and is much quieter. I also love the easy-clean aspect and the dehumidify option. Great product LG!!!
been using this a few wks and so far were impressed with the low noise level and it works great in the 10'x30' sunroom as its name implies there are a lot of windows %26 gets extremely hot but this a/c will also cool the adjoining room of about the same sq ft. i do not care for the eco setting because it tends to turn off and on several times in only a few mins and just seems more annoying and cant really be saving that much $/power. also when the unit turns on it automatically reverts to eco but pushing the mode button makes it easy to set on normal mode
Didn't have the opportunity to evaluate the product. I purchased the A/C unit as a surprise gift to my neighbor friend, only to find out he had purchased an A/C unit several days before. The box was never opened and he still doesn't know of our intentions.
The Air Conditioner was received in a damaged condition. How do I initiate a return?
Do not buy this air conditioner if you plan to use with smart modes or expect support from LG. Read recent reviews of the app on the Apple App Store. Most are negative. I've had 2 of these air conditioners for about a month and received no support from LG. The SmartThinQ app is truly garbage. Called several times to resolve issues with programming smart modes for 2 window AC units and emailed at least 7 times and still nothing. When they did respond 2 of those emails, the responses had nothing to do with the problem. I purchased these units solely because of the feature to have home, away, pleasant, sleep and vacation modes configured for the units. None of these modes are configurable. Just notes “airconditioner alert”. The app is also not compatible with IFTTT so if you want to set a mode to start if you enter a distance from your home, it is not possible. If you are looking for a smart air conditioner, look elsewhere.
Junk Used it for two months did Not blow cold cold air out ,plugged it in first time following 10 months later does that work at all
1st year worked fine and cooled my living room well. The next year the motor has a loud sound and its not cooling as well as it did. I bought this last summer so it might have 4 months of use on it. For $499 it should last years in peak performance... less than one year and I feel like I got a dud.

Not sure if there are supposed to be screws coming out the bottom of the air conditioner. It's dented and dirty. The back looks like it's been outside with some stains.
