This filter, like most other parts of this refrigerator, was the most user-friendly replacement filter I have ever used. simple twist in/twist out. That was it. I also had a problem with the flow of the water dispenser in the fridge door. One quick replacement in the back and the water was profuse again. Outstanding!! This product works to produce clean tasting water through the fridge. I have no problems with this product and would highly recommend it!
The original LG water filters make the water taste 10X better than those cheaper offbrand filters. I tried them and can attest to that fact! Stick with LG originals, you can't go wrong.

I bought this product directly because the store I normally purchase it from did not have it in stock and did not know when they were going to receive any. I don't normally do that but it needed to be changed. I was not worth the COST, to include the delivery time. I also wanted to be put on the auto renewal for free shipping but the site would not load all of my information.
One part for the refrigerator
On the picture there is filter ending with “B”, but received “A” which is less effective
I have tried both the LG brand filter listed as the correct part and generic filters that also are listed as compatible. Neither fit anymore. We had purchased a 3 page 2 years ago and we are down to our last filter and can't find a replacement. Whatever redesign happened didn't account for older models still needing filters.
I bought a 3-pack to use with my LFX25961SW refrigerator - this is the recommended filter - and they no longer fit, which is confusing since it is the recommended model. I'd prefer not using an off-brand filter, but they fit.
They redesigned this filter for some reason to look exactly like a version they used to make. If you are looking for 5231JA2006F or 5231JA2006B - THIS IS NOT IT. This will not fit your fridge. Unbelievable LG did this. I will never buy an LG product again. They discontinue parts way too fast.
