Our grandkids have had very few opportunities for hands-on science this year. This set combine information, VR experiences, and hands-on projects for a fun and educational science gift.Nearly all the needed materials are included, and the projects will be fun for older kids to do alone, our four families to work on together. The informational pages in the book use spectacular photos.
My grandson loves these kits He now wants the dinosaur kit.
Usually first sign of a good toy is when kids bug you to play over and over, in this case it's educational so I can't be mad :)

My son is 9 & loved it!!!! I found myself keep taking it from him to use it!! Very informative! The vr is cool! Highly recommended
My son struggled to always find the various hidden items and directions with this headset and lost interest in it due to his frustration. I will donate it to someone else who could better use it but for the price I’m disappointed it wasn’t better designed for kids to use alone.
This was an excellent Christmas gift for our 7 year old Granddaughter. She is loving the activities and exploring the solar system.
Kids were a little frustrated with the initial setup. There was some difficulty getting the phone to fit, and I do think it would help to have technically savvy kids because it will reduce the learning curve. Of course, helping them out will go a long way. Once everything is setup, you can leave them be. They got some fun out of it but after a few weeks, it went into a closet and disappeared. I still think it was a good experience for them to have and I'm happy with the results.
Great kit, age appropriate!
Okay, we’ve tried almost all of these Professor Maxwell VR things so far and I would actually say this one needs some work before it’s a five star success like the others.To start, this is still pretty great. It’s a lot of fun. Age says 8 - which I agree for the experiment/crafts - part but the VR videos are so educational and easy to understand I let my little girls take turns watching too. The gist of it is this is a great VR learning set. The crafting part, my sons actually needed help. The colors are oddly different than the ones talked about for them! Why?! If you don’t care then don’t worry about switching to different colors but if you do then moms - read ahead and gather the right colors just to tie it all in properly. I wouldn’t not recommend it for this purpose I would just say to the company to get some consistency on this one. The rest of the VR sets have virtually (haha) no flaws so if this is your first one don’t let it discourage you from the rest!
