I have only owned this fryer a short time, but everything I have cooked in it has came out perfectly. It fried chicken that was crisp but still juicy inside. I cooked a pork loin in it that turned out to be the best one I have ever cooked. The only thing is if you cook meat loaf, use the basket on top of the lowest rack instead of putting the loaf directly on the rack. The flavors really pop with this cooker plus it does not heat up the kitchen the way the cook stove does.
The Big Boss Oil-less fryer is excellent. I have another similar brand, and this one can run circles around it. The style is better, and the french fries turn out great. It should also be great for chicken breasts, and all you would want to use it for, instead of the big stove oven. Easy to get the food all arranged and get it going.
Great product. Takes time learning to use it; so patience is a virtue. Nice to have a timer, but will overcook if you don't pay attention. (Or undercook.) being able to use aluminum foil or any oven safe utensil is a big plus. I like to wrap seasoned meats really tight in foil & bake. A regular oven takes all day to get meats tender & heats the house & can still let the meat get dry. This little gem does the job in half the time & there's no dryness. Am still learning the ups/downs, but, it's definitely a keeper. Cleaning is easy... Another really big plus!! I love to cook so this is large enough for a family while handy enough for a couple.
It takes a little longer than a metal air fryer. Almost as long as regular baking, but without the extra effort of preheating and turning off. It's very nice to look at and does cook the foods nicely.
We take this everywhere with us camping family's trips and so forth! We cook everyday with this! We hardly use our oven! This makes the best food and I cooked our ham in it this year too!!! Came out delicious and juicy not dried out! Love my chicken drumsticks in this!
I love this air fryer. I made a meatloaf the first time I used the Big Boss. It was amazing good and so simple.
Love it so far! I've cooked Buttermilk Fried Chicken, French fries and heated up the fully cooked chicken strips in it along with other fries! I truly love the self cleaning job it does also I soak the basket in hot soapy water and it came right off all the pieces that I cooked with! The grease settles in the bottom of the pan and not in your stomach, lol! Healthier for you
This item was heaven sent! I have truly use it daily for one thing or another. I bought some beer battered fish from Sam's Club along with some crab cakes and had dinner ready in 25 min! (had to make some sides) I love the fact that I can kick some of this cooking oil out of my world. And keep my cholesterol levels in check. It is the next best thing to me! Everything cooked evenly for me. The fries, chicken, pizza and much more is so delicious. I was also excited about the cooking book. I haven't tried any of the yet, but will soon. Really wished I would have gotten one for my Mom. They are now all SOLD OUT (this brand and for now)! Get this if you are one of those people who are multi tasking and have a busy lifestyle! LOVE IT!!!
This cooker is awesome my wife has prepared pork chops, chicken, fries , sausage, bacon, stuffed peppers, cinnamon rolls, Cornish game hens. All great tasting. We wish there was a better cook book for regular family meals with pictures
The cooker worked well and cooked food as described- but after only having it for 3 months the switch that starts and stops the cooker broke and fell inside the lid so it is no longer working and of course it is no longer in warranty-
