The bowl is easy to clean and doesn't stain. It is made of glass so you have to be mindful. The lid fits perfectly and it's great to store in the fridge. Make sure that you set the bowl into the machine, it just doesn't sit. Check that it fits your machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this glass kitchen aid mixer bowl so much! I have had a kitchenaid mixer for years, but i've had the stainless steel bowl. I love that I can see through this one to make sure that I have gotten everything off of the bottom. It has measurements on the side. I also love that it has a top that I can put on it if I just want to chill my product for a little while or just put it to the side while I work on something else. This bowl makes me so happy!!

This bowl has everything you need for baking,as it has measurement markings on the side,has a lid and is freezer, microwave and dishwasher safe. I love to bake and this bowl allows me to measure the ingredients right in the bowl,without having to use a bunch of seperate bowls,which is so convenient. This bowl is very large and has a lid which makes it super convenient. I am so happy that I got this bowl and I don't think I could go back to baking without it.

Having the ability to see through what I'm mixing up has become an absolute necessity. Our kids also enjoy seeing through the bowl when helping to bake their favorite cookies. The 5quart bowl is made of thick glass and does have some weight to it. The bottom of the bowl clicks right into place, just like the metal bowl. One of my favorite things is the included cover, this helps with small dough proofing or in the event where things need to be covered and stored away in the fridge. Highly recommend this accessory!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Kitchenaid Glass Bowl is a nice addition to the mixer and kitchen but it does come with the limitations of being heavy and more fragile than metal. The transparency of the glass allows for better pictures and videos of the ingredients in the bowl. The glass makes it easier to see if all the ingredients have been incorporated from the bottom. This bowl is useful to proof sourdough with the side markings and being able to see through the glass to see the air pockets. I like that this comes with a lid and feel that all Kitchenaid bowls should include lids. The lid helps cut down on using disposable plastic to cover the bowl. There is an indent in the lid that allows you to fit the bowl under the mixer so that it can keep the bowl clean while stored on the countertop. The pouring spout is useful for pouring batter and liquid which the metal bowls lack. It is pleasantly surprising that even though I have a 4.5 quart mixer, this 5 quart bowl can be used with it and is compatible. The downside of this bowl being glass is that it is really heavy due to the thickness of the glass. I do have to be more careful with dropping it and hitting it against something because of its weight and its fragility by being glass. I also found that it is harder to attach it to the bottom of the mixer compared to the metal bowls. Overall, I think the looks and aesthetics of the glass bowl are really great and I like having a transparent bowl but it is more cumbersome, delicate and requires more care due to it being glass.
I loved this bowl. It's beautiful and you can see how well mixed your ingredients are inside. However, it cracked! I washed it and while rinsing it, I noticed this crack! I have always been super careful while using and cleaning it. Today was no different! Nothing out of the ordinary happened, it just cracked! So disappointed!
I used this for a couple years with no issue. However while making swiss meringue the entire bottom cracked severely even though the water wasn't touching the bowl. I won't be purchasing this again, I think I will go for ceramic for durability.
