These socks really keep your feet warm and cozy. My wife has taken over one pair to wear around the house as she hates to get cold feet while watching TV and such. I have used these socks, washed the socks and they still look like new. No shrinkage whatsoever on these. If you turn them inside out, you will see what looks to be really warm fuzzy material. I would highly recommend this for anyone who gets cold feet. I can see these lasting for quite some time due to the durability and workmanship.
I grew up with socks that came up to your calf. The problem with standard socks like that is they always slide down your leg. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the best feature of these socks is the double elastic band that comfortably holds the sock to you upper calf. It is about three inches wide so it isn't just this rubber band like end. All of other features of the socks are well made. The cotton feels thick, soft and durable. I can imagine how these will keep your legs & feet warm. The toe and heel are reinforced for extra wear. For a fit they are comfortable. I am used to socks with spandex around the middle of the foot for support. These don't have that but they still don't feel loose. I like how they don't bunch up at the toe when wearing them.
The Dickies Men's Thermal Socks, 2-Pack provides a warm comfortable feeling when worn. The thermal socks are heavy weight to provide for warmth be it in the middle of winter or in the shoulder months of spring and autumn. The toe, heel and the cap are heavily reinforced to provide long life utility. The material is soft to the touch and provides a very soft feeling when worn. The styling of the Dickies Men's Thermal Socks, 2-Pack is quite attractive. The coloring is more or less neutral, so the socks can be worn with almost any colored clothing. I gave the Dickies Men's Thermal Socks, 2-Pack a trial run and found them to be both warm, as expected, and very comfortable. It is still September and in the California desert the outside temperatures are still in the triple digits so it did not take long after putting on the Dickies Men's Thermal Socks, 2-Pack that my feet went into thermal overload. In about four weeks the warmth provided by these socks will be greatly appreciated. During the desert winters I typically find my feet feeling very chilly. These socks definitely will help solve that problem. For cold/cool weather wear I give my full recommendation to the Dickies Men's Thermal Socks, 2-Pack. I love being a Walmart Sparks Reviewer. It gives me several opportunities to try and review a variety of objects and this time I have a chance to test one of my favorite things. …Um...socks. Not just any socks, but "Genuine Dickies Steel Toe Cotton Crew Thermal Socks." I received the 2 pack and I immediately put on a pair to get the...feel of them...so to speak. The first thing I discovered was how the socks hugged my feet and lower legs. It was like I was wearing a sweater on my feet, so to speak. A nice warm and comfortable feeling. I also noticed the construction of the garment. The durable steel toe reinforcement and the heavy cushioned feet and legs. Theses socks are made with 85% cotton, 13% polyester, 1% nylon and 1% spandex. This material will supply superior warmth in even extreme conditions. One of the best features of this sock is the extended reinforcement through the toe cap that adds to the durability and comfort when wearing steel toed boots. If you have ever worn steel toed boots or shoes, you will know what I am talking about... An excellent pair of socks.
I received these thermal crew socks today and who wouldn't recognize the brand name "Dickies". These socks are blended with cotton and thermal technology that can help regulate the temperature of your feet to remain warm and comfortable even in pretty cold conditions. Has heavy reinforced heel and toe cushion lining that provides protection from wearing steel toe boot's to snow boot's and provides comfort and warmth throughout the day or night. I slipped these on just to get the feel of this sock because I can really cannot wear them just yet. (It's still 88 to 90 degree's here in East TN), but I do know I will be using them for sure during the coming winter day's ahead. They are really soft to wear and long enough coverage that covers your calf all the way up. This comes packaged in a "two pack" deal from "Dickies" Performance Thermal Sock's.
I have the Dickies Steel Toe Cotton Crew Performance Thermal Socks. The ones I have are in a size 6-12. Two pairs came to this pack. They are a nice white and gray speckled color with a burgundy and black speckled toe area and a burgundy and black speckled heel area and a burgundy and black speckled colored band across the top. These socks feel wonderful on and come up to near the knee, but just a bit below. They seem to fit true to size. The socks seem to have added padding everywhere, but especially around the toes and heel. They feel very comfortable! The label says they have a durable steel toe reinforcement and an achilles heel reinforcement. I am not sure what that means unless it is the extra cushion I mentioned. Because the socks are so thick, they seem as if they would be very, very warm. They are constructed of a heavy weight cotton and I suspect would do well in keeping your feet and legs warm if you are one of those guys that must be out working in cold temperatures. If you are searching for some great thick warm socks to work outside in, or just need thick warm socks for any reason, I highly recommend these. They seem to be an awesome quality!
I do a lot of ice fishing in the winter and jumped on these socks when I saw them. I figured why not give them a try. So far I like the construction of the sock and the feel of the socks when I put them on. It is still a bit warm to wear them long term, but I tried. They are very soft on the feet and they do have reinforcements at the heal and toes where you would want them. They did feel like they should hold in your own body heat when out in the cold. I know these are intended for on the job wear, but I will be wearing them on the ice when out ice fishing. I have had several brands of insulated socks and some I have liked and some I haven't. One of the issues I have had with some other brands was the upper cuff of the sock stretching out and losing its elasticity. From the feel of these and constriction of the upper cuff, I don't feel like these will go bad very quick. Many times after getting socks home you can tell if they are going to hold up and I think these will.
These are great socks nice and heavy and will be warm thermal socks. The seams are great, you can't even see them and the heel and toe are reinforced. Everything is as described. The bottom of the sock was just fine a good fit. Not to tight. The top was very tight with not much stretch. I can't wear these. I wish they were looser they would be great winter socks. So if you have skinny legs they will be great boot socks or to wear around the house. Light grey and dark grey go good together.
OK, so it is not the dead of winter and the weather is still fall like, but I had to try these socks. I always buy my boots a size bigger than I normally wear so I will have room for heavier socks in the colder weather. These socks fit just right and filled the extra space in my boots perfectly. I am glad that they are made with 100% cotton and no polyester, helps wick away moisture too. I can not vouch for how warm they will keep your feet on a frozen wet day, but I am confident they cannot hurt!
Received these socks last week and they look and feel great. They seem to have extra thickness where needed for all day wearing and would be very comfortable. I can't say anything about the warmth in the colder weather as it is in the 70's and 80's right now but they seem to be as good as the socks I have gotten from BassPro and other places. Yes I would recommend and plan on getting a couple more pairs.
