Aluminum provides a wonderful crisp metallic tone without the weight of other metal snare drums. The detachable strainer and butt allow you to remove the snare wires for snare side head changes and re-attach them quickly with a single drum key screw. There is a tension indicator so that you can easily adjust your snares to the same tension when changing snare wires. 2.3mm Dyna Hoop The 2.3mm thick triple flange Dyna Hoops are strong for precise tuning, yet allow the drum to open up. Yamaha's light yet rugged SS-840 double-braced snare stand keeps your snare in the proper position. The height is adjustable from 17-1/2" to 24-1/2". The adjustable snare basket is centered directly over the bass to keep your drum rock-solid during performances. Thick rubber cradle arms grip the snare hoops firmly and absorb shock. The YSB-14 snare bag is made of heavy-duty Cordura with 1" padding. The heavy-duty handle is strategically placed for maximum carrying comfort. Exterior zippered compartment stores extra heads. A heavy-duty luggage quality zipper ensures smooth action. A shoulder strap is included.
