Using hair care products made with ingredients from a tropical island! That's why I love Maui Moisture Detoxifying Volcanic Ash shampoo. The volcanic ash purifies hair while citrusy bergamot oil and zesty ginger extract hydrate and make my hair all shiny and glowy! And it smells like a coconut just jumped off of a tree, opened itself up, and hugged my head. My hair loves it and you will too!

I found Maui moisture detoxifying and volcanic ash shampoo and thought it wouldn't hurt to give it a try, what's the worst it could do? Not work? I wasn't sure what to expect when I opened the bottle, because when I read volcanic ash, I assumed it would either be charcoal black, or ashy. It was neither, it is darker, but not super black and doesn't stain anything. Anyway, the first day I tried it, I noticed a huge change in the way my hair felt. It was soft, had shine and I only had to use a blow dryer to style my hair! Usually I have to use creams, blow dryer and straightener! Since using this shampoo 2 weeks ago, I've only used my straightener 3 times! It also leaves my hair smelling really nice! The pro and con to this shampoo though is the square bottle. The pro is because it stores easily when you have to pack it, the con is if you have weak hands/wrists, it's kind of hard to get the product out.

It is a clear/black gel like consistency. Since it is a more natural choice for hair care it doesn't lather up as most shampoos, but that is a GOOD thing in my opinion and shows that it's truly natural. After washing my hair with this shampoo my hair felt squeaky clean, very detoxified, and airy. I would recommend this shampoo to everyone as it's works like a dream.

I love that this shampoo is paraban and sulfate free. It thoroughly deep cleans my hair and leaves it with a shining glow. My hair is definitely healthier and moisturised.

Made with 100% aloe juice as the first ingredient and no mineral oil, silicones, parabens, gluten, SLS, sulfates surfactants, synthetic dyes, or ALES. It's made with aloe juice and pure coconut water. I don't typically like the smell of coconut, but this doesn't smell like coconut. It smells yummy like vanilla. It also performs well, leaving my hair less dull and feeling soft and clean. Pairing this with the Volcanic Ash Conditioner leaves my hair full of life for 2-3 days without shampooing again (which I usually have to shampoo daily). I highly recommend this product.
I was looking for a good shampoo that would cleanse my scalp and keep my hair moisturized. I have low porosity hair so I have to cleanse my hair 2X a week. This shampoo does just that! This shampoo cleanses my scalp clean but it doesn't strip my hair. I'm a Maui Moisture girl for life!

It smell fresh like summer and it the liquid is thick but not heavy. Make my oily scalp clean and not greasy plus this is a natural ingredient! I recommend this shampoo along with the conditioner.

This conditioner smells so good and i like it because leaves my hair very soft and pretty much detangled. Also i deal with hair loss and since i Been using this my hair is more strong and less hair loss. Totally recommend this.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used other Maui's shampoo before but only recently I had the opportunity to try Maui Moisture Detoxifying + Volcanic Ash (shampoo and conditioner). I really like this product because it gave my hair a very shiny look plus it smells extremely well. I did not see much difference with the dryness aspect of my hair, but I believe that if I continue using it, the hair will get the moisture it needs to be softer and less frizzy. Some other things I appreciate about this product is that it is a feel good product (natural ingredients, plus no sulfates and damaging chemicals). Finally, it is a product with fun and clear instructions.

The consistency of the shampoo is very thick and viscous which tends to be a small issue when you are trying to get a quick shower and the product doesn't exit the bottle fast enough and you have to shake the bottle to make it come out. Again is just a minor issue since the shampoo works as intended and is one of my favorites.
