After being confused initially with the instruction book being written in tiny print, I was pleased to find out how easy it was to use and add songs to this unit. I have yet to use the e-book or voice recording features, but I"m sure they will work just as well. A bargain for the money for sure.
I like that it offers so many features and space for only the $36 I paid, but it really isn't very user friendly. For each thing you want to do there are several menus that have to be navigated and even then they don't quite get it done. For shuffle it only does that local folder, so just that artist, unless all music is in one folder which means that you can no longer search by artist for something specific. Also when using that feature there is no way to replay the song just heard, it will pick a different random song when you go back and then yet another random song when going forward. Also different headphones were a must for listening loudly to keep the quality. Overall still a good buy.
I love it!!! I purchased 3 at this great low price. It is a little slow when changing songs on the AUX in the car...but it gets the job done. The speaker function is a nice touch. I've had no need to use the dual connection yet, but I'm sure it'll work. This was my first MP3 video player.
I bought this as a backup whenever my Zune had to be repaired. This did the job as a temporary mp3 player. It is easy to add music or remove music from the device. But videos are a completely different thing. If you have a video that is AVI, MP4, WMV, ect. you have to use the converter they provide and convert the file to AMV. The converter never worked for me, and unfortunately the converts that I have don't convert to AMV. So as far as music goes it does the job, but videos not so much.
This product was not very good from the beginning. When turning it on for the first time, the language setting was set on Chinese (sealed box). So that took a few minutes of fumbling to get it to the English setting. The menu options were not very helpful and not very intuitive at all. The syncing was very slow. It came on a Thursday and I returned it on Sunday. Do yourself a favor, don't get this one. There are much better one's at this price range.
This mp3 player is not very good. the way it the button system is set up is very poor. the whole menu inside is extremely confusing and time consuming and it takes way too long to get to the song you wish to listen to. It does not list by artist or album as most mp3 players do. it only lists under name. this is really anoying if one has a larger collection of music. it takes a very long time to scroll through ones music because you cannot click the button faster to make it go faster, if one clicks faster than a certain pace it just stops scroling down till one stops clicking. Then it moves on item down. It is also impossible to reach the song menu if a song is playing. you can hit the skip button and it will skip to the next song but you can not reach the menu and choose a song yourself. This is definately the worst mp3 player I have ever bought. Most of the basic needs of an mp3 player such as an easy layout. buttons that make sense is completely messed up and it just anoys one everytime it is being used. I am definately returning this item.
I'm pretty tech saavy but this thing messed up my Dell computer w/Windows 7--It caused a hickup and made my USB ports inoperable--Had to reinstall Utilities and Drivers. It took me hours to fix it. Won't try that again!!!
This product is extremely displeasing. It is slow, has a mediocre battery, and will not alllow you to select songs to play from the file folders. It's only redeeming quality is decent sound and a decent speaker. I would not buy this player unless these are the only features you care about. It is impossible to use.
I had the E-matic 2GB MP3 player which I loved until I accidentally dropped it in a cup of coffee. I was thrilled to see the 8GB E-matic player for only about $45 so I ordered it. When it arrived, I was a little disappointed that it looked so cheap and was a pain to navigate. It worked well enough though and I figured I had gotten what I paid for. About three weeks later though, the volume button quit working and even though it was fully charged, it began to turn off by itself. Walmart was great about refunding my money (they even refunded the shipping charges) and I found a different brand of MP3 player. I can't say I recommend the 8GB E-matic player but I still like the 2GB version. It felt more substantial and didn't have the garish display that the 8GB had.
The price was good for this product. Yet, it is very hard to use. Unable to scroll through to pick songs , and if you put audio books on it, it is imposible to find, and when you do it's not in the order that it should be. I would not recomend this product.
