These are pretty cool fasteners for your license plate. They lock them in place with a special screw so no one can quickly steal your plate or if your like me have a wireless camera that attaches to the back this is extra security so you know it want be stolen
The Auto Drive Deluxe Stainless Steel Anti-Theft License Plate Frame Mount guarantees that no one is going to take your license plate frame or that it will not fall off while driving on pothole-filled roads. I had a really cool breast cancer plate frame which came up missing – can't say if it fell off or someone else really liked it also but I couldn't find that same plate frame to replace it with so getting this Auto Drive Deluxe Stainless Steel Anti-Theft License Plate Frame Mount made me feel good about putting my new breast cancer plate frame. It's not the same model as my previous one because that one was discontinued, but this one is pretty cool also, and fighting breast cancer is one campaign that I am truly devoted to fighting against. Also this set which has locking nuts, nothing is going to rattle loose! My husband also used one of the locking bolts to mount the actual license plate as well so that no one can steal our license plate. We have had it while being in one of the larger cities in Michigan that our license plate was stolen. While the Secretary of State is good about replacing stolen plates, it still is a hassle so now we don't have to worry! It's locked in place along with my beautiful breast cancer awareness plate frame.
This stainless steel license plate fastener lit is great and has several nice features...The screw caps fit nicely and snapped into place...I don't think they will fall off anytime soon...I like the included screw caps which protect the screws from road grime and also look much better than a bare metal screw...The included foam adhesive pads that attach to the back of the license plate are essential to protect the paint on my new car and prevent any scratching..I'm extremely happy with how easy they were to install, the screws are great quality...and very easy installation, Overall very happy with this kit...
Great product with everything needed to mount. The included Allen wrench tool has the “special design” on BOTH the long and short sides. Brilliant! Stainless Steel to prevent rusting and special bolt/screw heads to help deter theft. Highly recommend!
This kit is highly recommended. I knew a lady who had a vanity plate that said "RQTBALL" and her plates were stolen. She went through a nightmare cancelling the old plates, ordering new plates, etc. The components of this set are durable and well-made and install easily. And there are lots of extra screws for additional cars. One important note--these theft-proof screws require a special key that should be kept in a secure place for when the plates need to be removed. A very good but inexpensive addition for a car.
Initially, I was skeptical of how the kit I received would be of use, but after installing the kit to my vehicle, I have become a fan. I, personally, have never had anyone steal my license plates, but I can see how these would prevent such an act from occurring. The “key” design is similar to other removal deterrent screws and bolts by design, but in such a manner as to allow you to remove and re-install them easily as long as you retain the “key”. The chrome plated screws add a touch of high-end finish that is a welcome bonus. The kit comes with a variety of thread types from fine to coarse threads that are designed to fit a wide variety of vehicle manufacturer's cars, trucks, trailers, ATVs, and motorcycles. Along with the custom bolts, you get a variety of spacers and retaining nuts to aid in fastening your license or novelty plate to your vehicle or equipment. I would recommend this product for the car nut, hobbyist, or enthusiast on your shopping list. It makes a great gift, and can provide a level of security to any vanity or novelty plate as well as many other secure fastening needs.
Sorry to take so long. We have had computer problems. This is a great product. Pretty easy to install when you finally figure out how. The package came with no instructions, so it took me a while to figure out what was what. It would really help to add some simple instructions with pictures and explanations. The package laid around for a week before I could make heads or tails of it. Having said that, I love the product. I feel much safer knowing that my plates are nearly impossible to steal. I applied them to both of our vehicles. I have had my plates tampered with before, so this is a very helpful product.
I feel so much better knowing that our plates are safe with this kit. Too many people that we know have had their plates stolen in our area from their driveways and parking lots, and have had to go through the headache of replacing those plates. We are being proactive and preventing such a headache before it happens. These are stainless steel so you don't have to worry about rusting, and they are long enough to fit through a decorative frame.
This kit is amazing. I put the screws on my license plate and am now extremely content with the knowledge that my tag won't be stolen. (I guess it could if someone cut it off, but that would be way too much effort.) There are enough in this kit to do multiple vehicles, so for the price it can't be beat. The screws are very easy to install and there are different lengths and sizes to fit most cars. We did all three of our cars and still have some left just in case. The quality of this kit is great, very sturdy, easy to use, awesome quantity. I literally cannot say enough how great this kit is!
The Auto Drive anti theft fastener kit worked out well for my cars's license plate. The kit comes with everything you need to install, including Allen wrench which is a plus. I have had a bad habit of always throwing Allen wrenches away so its great to include it. Also it being stainless steel is an added benefit to prevent rust. This is a huge plus since we get plenty of snow here in Chicago. Overall this product was easy to install so yes I would recommend.
