My son and I play with this learning toy, my son is 3 yrs old and love our time together learning .
I got this to help my preschooler with his sight words. He really enjoys doung these puzzles together and i love that they are double sided. Theyre very durable structurally but cosmetically, I wish the paint for more durable. It isnt terrible though, ive just noticed small chips around the edges after a month of use. Still a wonderful learning tool!
Can't go wrong with any Melissa & Doug product. This particular purchase happened to be flawed. The board with the picture of a sock had the word "cake" next to it while the picture of the cake had the word "sock". I called Melissa & Doug and the representative was extremely nice and they sent me a replacement. Great company and great learning products.
I needed something to help my 4 year old get down lowercase letter. Most puzzles ect focus on uppercase only. This works. Wish it had a few more extra letters but it serves its purpose. Good quality.
My grandkids loved this educational puzzle. It's a fun way to teach kids about letters and spelling. We use the jigs to put letters in, but also spell words independently without the jig. I highly recommend this well made, educational puzzle for hours of fun.
Hi, I love the See and Spell Learning toy for my son, but we are are missing one of the boards. I noticed in the pictures there should be a board to spell cat and dog. This did not come in our set, instead we have two fish/bear boards. Is there a way to send us the missing cat/dog piece? Also, the boards use a lot of the same letters. My son always picks up the "j" and "m" but there are no boards that use those letters. The same is true for the letters q, l, x, y and z. Perhaps you could add two more boards. The first with the words" quilt" and "jam" the second with the words "X-ray" and "zebra". Just a suggestion but this way all letters can be used!
My set included 2 fish instead of the car board. Otherwise we love it!
This is pretty great BUT I have two complaints, one is why doesn't this come with a lid? Most M&D boxes come with some sort of slide in lid so the items don't fall out. Pretty disappointed this one didn't. Second problem, there are too many of some letters and not enough of others. For example, it only comes with one M so my kids can't practice spelling MOM. That is an important word! And we didn't get a letter L! Otherwise we really like it.
I bought two puzzles for my Grandson for Christmas, the first one has a pic. Of a boat and says frog, on the other side it a picture of a duck and says bird. The other puzzle was missing a battery cover. Attached are pictures.
Love this, but so far, we are on the 2nd one and it keeps arriving broken. I am currently waiting on the 3rd one to arrive. The wooden piece that separates the letters from the plate keeps arriving broken. The letters just spill into the other side with no organization. That wood piece needs to be thicker or something. We love that the plates are front and back though, and it's a lot of fun for her. Just wish it wasn't broken every time it arrived.
