The product does only last for 30 mins, but it says so in the description. I've used it cord and cord less and it's done the job just as I needed. I can charge it up and throw it in my bag for touch ups. It heats up really fast and I really like the safety mechanism build in this straightener. It's also on the heavier side so if you have a lot of hair, be prepared for the arm sore. lol but it leaves the head nice and silky. Perfect for the price during the holiday season.
I have super thick and wavy hair and my hair strands are thick. Even with my hair thinned out I have to have six sections to blow dry and straighten my hair. The charge with this only lasted three sections so I had to recharge it which was not good. But, I do have to say, it straightened my hair nicely and stayed flat until I had to straighten it again. That was nice but I returned it. I wish it was corded and not wireless.
I purchased this item a few months ago and I have already tried to get a hold of Dyson customer service. I understand it is refurbished however, my battery on the straightener does not last. I can hardly get through my entire hair before it dies. The only thing customer service could offer me is 20% off a new machine. I understand I purchased this refurbished, but I would hope that it would have a better battery do yourself the favor and just buy new but he cautious because their customer service is sub par too.
The product arrived broken. It did not work once I plugged in. When I called Dyson they told me that they were sorry and to take it back to Walmart. So I did and Walmart said sorry they couldn't help me and to contact the seller but I purchased from Walmart website. I am hoping to receive my money back.
I purchased the refurbished version of this product. After 2 months of use, the temperature does not seem to get as hot as once used to, so I filed a claim and am just hitting dead ends.
Bought this with pur excitement. Was finally able to afford this straightener for myself. Just to receive it and it be a complete disappointment. It does not “ Glide” through your hair it pulls every strand out. “Cordless” only if you can have your hair done in like 30 mins. It's super Heavy for a flat iron so your hand gets tired quick. The charger is also very heavy so when you plug it in to use adds more weight to it. My $300 GHD works better then this $600 junk on sale for $200 not even worth $100 even my $20 Walmart sketchy looking straightener is smoother then this. My bathroom sink was full just a few passes later. Come to find out that is a very common issue. It's just that expensive for The name unfortunately. Don't waste your money. Cheaper straighteners are way better for your money. Paul mitchels are $200 GHD is $300 definitely get your moneys worth. Or your ole reliable chi works better then this. Sorry Dyson, i really wanted to like this but it's a hard pass for me. I'm really glad I didn't pay $600 for this. Scares me to try the other products I've been wanting to try. I'll stick with my GHD
I used the straightener 2 times and it no longer works. I get an error code when I try to do the second heat setting, but the straightener isn't even warm yet. Unfortunately this was a gift and I cannot return it because it is after the 90 day return policy. i looked on dyson to troubleshoot the problem but couldn't find a way to fix it.
I did not realize this was a refurbished item. The iron has not been able to keep its charge. Iron does not charge to a full battery, and only remains charged for a minute until it drops to half charged (after “fully” charged ) looking for warranty and $ back
I will never buy another Dyson refurbished product. I purchased on 11-24-23. The battery would not charge. Contacted Dyson several times the hold times were over an hour each time. I sent the device back for a replacement after waiting over a week are all the trouble shooting process for an email that they now had the device back in stock. They have received my device back but now still have not received a replacement. Said they cannot get UPS to pick it up from their warehouse but they are shipping the news one out immediately. This is directly from Dyson. This whole process has been a night mare
