I've tried so many natural deodorants (Stank Stop, Tom's, Ethique, Native, and Moyo) and for me, Schmidt's formula is by far the best! No stink and lasts one full day. I started with the stick, but then moved to the jar to reduce my plastic use. I actually like the jar better because I think the product is more effective on your skin when you rub it in vs the stick. It's also worth noting to read Schmidt's article on how to prep your pits before application. I have found that exfoliating in the shower and waiting a full 5 minutes for them to dry has made a big difference.
This deodorant is my everything, and I've used it for years. I was VERY disappointed to find that some scents had been dropped from the line of jar deodorants, because THIS product is far superior to the sticks. Please bring back all the scents!!!!!
I was once a lifelong user of anti-perspirants with aluminum and was always upgrading the formula be side it never quite worked as well as it should. I made the switch about 6 years ago and I'm so glad I did! I can't stress enough how enough well it works. I live in the Deep South and Schmidt's keeps me dry and fresh as a Daisy. I don't know if it's a magic spell or fairy dust or what, but it's great and I'll never go back to using other deodorants.
This is my favorite Schmidts product. I love the jar/paste form of deodorant, and the smell is light and natural. This is the only deodorant product I've ever used that lasts all day and prevents stink and sweat stains. Please never discontinue the lavender + sage deodorant jar it is truly incredible.
I am obsessed with this deodorant. I've been using Schmidt's lavender and sage for 6 years and it's the only deodorant I will use because it's the only "natural" deodorant I have found to be effective for me. I've tried a few different scents but this one i still my fave. I've also tried using the stick deodorant, but it just feels too scratchy to me so I prefer the glass jar form. I'm so used to using my fingers to apply deodorant that even when I had the stick version I would use my fingers haha.
Love the product, have been using for over a year. Y'all should replace the cheap plastic applicator with something recyclable, maybe bamboo or metal!
I've tried so many natural deodorants — some kept pits dry but didn't block smell, some blocked smell but pits stayed wet, some (native) did both but left white steaks on my skin and clothes. This one, though, finally does everything I want: good scent, skin dry, stays invisible on skin!!! AND no plastic. So pleased.
Love it- my go-to scent in a glass jar. I'm trying to cut down on disposable plastics so this is a great option.
This deodorant works. I have to re-apply in the evenings as I sweat at night but it is worth the extra step to wake up feeling fresh. I switched to a natural deodorant this past March and am so glad I did. This is my third jar and I haven't once thought about going back to an antiperspirant/deodorant. I give the deodorant itself 5 stars. However, I am only rating this item 4 stars due to the fact that I can no longer send the jar back to the company for re-use. Part of why I chose this particular product was for that very reason. Having to recycle the jar and lid in my county's recycling stream is not the best way to reduce waste. The lid is plastic which is less likely to be recycled and I can only re-purpose so many jars. I am sure this was an unfortunate side-effect of selling the company but I wish companies would step up and help reduce waste instead of leaving that to the consumer. I am tempted to start making my own deodorant to avoid this conundrum.
What happened?! WHY does this happen - when Unilever, Clorox or any of the big corporations buy out the company they change the formula. I actually had a jar from 2017!!! It lasted me FOREVER. When my new jar arrived, the consistency was awful - it's completely flaky and provides ZERO protection. I had a little leftover from my last jar and you could totally see the difference
