I just love this-it's a pleasure to look at and it works well: Just be careful about what you sit it on top of because the bottom gets super-hot when you use it.
Love this electric kettle! The ivory color is perfect. Not too white or cream color. Works great. Style is beautiful and timeless.
I only ordered 1 kettle and paid for 1 kettle. But, I received 6 kettles in the box! Should I return the 5 I didn't order????
Love my new electric kettle. It is so pretty and I love the stainless steel. It looks and feels very substantial. Much nicer than my old plastic one. It heats up quickly and looks great on my all white counter top.
Does it's job, and it's very pretty. Handle gets a little warm, but not to the point of it being unusable.
I assumed this would be the last tea kettle I would need to buy. It looks good in the picture. However, the fit and finish is not what you'd expect from a high end English product. Looks like cheap Chinese stuff. The paint is thin in some sections and the chrome is pitted on the lid. The handle design is poor. When you pour the hot water, your hand is in line with the steam. It is large which is nice since I often host parties with hot beverages. I am a bit disappointed. May return it.
I think it is safe to assume no one wants to burn their hand while preparing their tea/coffee, but this kettle makes the handle so hot the chances of getting burned are high. I used it for a day. I read reviews and tried what Haden customer service wrote to another customer, who had the same hot handle problem. I tried boiling less than 6 cups so the handle would not heat up. At first the handle was fine. I used the hot water to make myself tea and left the kettle half full. Sadly as time went by the hot water sitting in the kettle caused the handle to get hotter. This happened every time I tried. It's a flaw to be sure. I really love beauty of the English Rose Haden Kettle. It is so pretty. I smile when I look at it and then sigh because it is a hazard. I would not want my family members burning themselves because they forgot the handle needs a pot holder. If I was super rich I would just keep it as a watering pot for my garden. My kids keep admiring it and wishing to play with it. But at $75 after taxes, it is a steep price for a toy/water pot. Also I don't believe in keeping things I won't use. Anyway, thanks to Walmart's lovely return policy I can return this kettle and buy a different, non hazardous kettle. Ratings given: 1 star for beauty 1 star for boiling water quickly 1 star for turning off automatically Total : 3 out of 5 stars (It really is beautiful. My picture doesn't do it justice)
It takes so long for the water to boil. Also it gets very hot and even the handle gets hot.
Adorable kettle but it arrived in a box that was clearly taped and re-taped and the kettle itself it scuffed and damaged
Was super excited to receive this new Kettle. I opened it in Christmas morning and was disappointed to see that therexwas a scratch on the handle. Also, the glue used to put the spout in place was protruding. I thought the quality would be amazing but, sadly it wasn't. I returned the product. Will try to order another. I am hoping it was mistake while assembling and that the new one will be fine.
