I had been eyeing these for the past year. Walmart had the best price. I did not need the extra mounting brackets. Took about 10 minutes to install. They work great, saves time at the boat ramp.
This product is great. The one thing I did different was I mounted mine on the boat instead the trailer. After reading reviews I felt it was better to keep them out of the water as much as possible. With all the grud and silt that stirs up when you back the trailer in its no wonder they don't work right sometimes. Anyway so far so good.
Would recommend to anyone. Good quality
Have only used 2 times. Really like them so far. Long term is yet to be seen. The spring looks a little fragile and time will tell. Considering buying another one or possibly a smaller version for the bow. I made the brackets out of aluminum and fastened to the crossmembers with U bolts.
If you want to make your life a little more easier when loading and securing your boat then you want these tie-downs. They are attached to your trailer permanently and you can have your boat tied down in the back in less than 10 seconds. I would recommend these for ANY boat owner... There is no down fall to getting these and the price is very good.

i was always loosing straps on my boat,they would come loose and fall off,,,these buckles r the perfect strap fast to strap down pull the lever when u want to release them, and they wind the strap in the container that is fastened to the trailer
The Boat Buckle products are the best I have found. Secure, fast, and easy to both fasten a boat transom to the trailer, or release it to launch the boat. They cost more than others, but the money is well spent because of the safety, and convenience.
Standard version had no issues with the mounting hardware. If you have the stainless steel hardware use anti seize compound
Great product, easy /simple to install and fast to strap your boat down. Last set was damaged from someone hitting my trailer and Walmart had 2 day shipping. Will always have them on my boat railer.
