This throne is very nice. I find it to be overpriced, but nice quality
I like the way it is made. I am a big guy and I did put in gigger grade 8 bolts, but for most people it would work fine. If they had used grade 8, 3/8 bolts it would be almost perfect.
It's adjustable and comfortable for doing jewelry shows.
This chair is the perfect design for musicians who would like to sit comfortably and play their instruments. Most of the time, they tend to use a stool that has no backrest for support of their spine. This unit came in separate pieces but they all fit together with hand screws and easily adjusted up and down the frame for the positioning that is good for me. I like the fact that its seat is higher height than a regular chair height. I'm short so that is important for me when I have two guys that are 5' 11" standing next to me while I play my bass. The seat is comfortable and the footrest is perfect for me to rest my aching feet from standing too long. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
Pros: - Strong materials - Fairly comfortable - Great range of height options - Variety of positions for back rest - Includes foot rest with location adjustment - Rubber pads that keep it from moving on hard flooring - Heavy in a sturdy way without being too heavy to move around a room - Knobs/screws hold the sections firmly in place without concern of unexpected movement Cons: - Doesn't fold as flat as one would expect for portability - Not easy to open from "folded" position. Requires two hands. - More difficult to adjust and transport than someone would want if they travel with the chair regularly Opinion: The cons I listed don't really affect my family since we intend to set this up and not move it more than a few feet every now and then. If it's going to stay mostly stationary I think it's a great option. If someone is going to take their musician chair from place to place regularly, this may not be the best option, but it's not a bad one either. I noticed other reviewers mentioned issues with tears in the cushions during transport. I have no idea how common or uncommon that is, but our chair arrived with no tears, holds, indents, discoloration, or any other physical issues.
This product is not for someone that plays guitar. It would be good for someone playing the cello. If the foot platform would extend forward a foot it would be great for a guitar player. So the chair with an added footstool works well for a guitar player. The cushions are comfortable, but smell like mothballs bad. Super strong mothball smell. After cleaning them 3 times and airing it out in the garage for 2 weeks the smell got better. It still smells like an old man at the nursing home. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
would not go together properly and it's Really uncomfortable, the seat is way to hard.
I purchased this stool based on reviews that I had read and believed this to be a very sturdy stool but yet comfortable. The first performance that use the stool with the seat collapsed after 1 hour and 10 minutes of sitting on it. The bolt that supports the seat bent like a peek piece of licorice. Now I need dental repair from the percussion of my teeth smacking together from the collapse. The dental repair sounds like it's going to cost about $400, which I have no intention of paying because of a cheap stool. Thus far Walmart has tried to stay out of this by referring me to the manufacturer. From my experience with the manufacturer I would never buy anything from Pyle USA or any of the companies that are associated with it. Only Walmart can salvage this situation if they wish to. I will keep everyone posted.
