I love this drawer chest!!! It was really easy to put together and the black wood finished went with my other furniture so well
I bought these for my wife dressers. They are very easy to assemble and she is very happy with this purchase. I recommend it.
I ordered 2 of these dressers for my daughter's room. Dressers made from these materials and not "real" wood always get mixed reviews. I've had 2 dressers before made from the same stuff and haven't had any problems. These dressers arrived on time and the boxes were in great shape. No damage or missing parts. I assembled the 2nd dresser in half the time it took me to do the first, so once you know what you are doing, it isn't that hard. I didn't have a problem building on my own either, but be prepared to invest several hours. The final product looks great. The drawers are more shallow than what they look like on the outside of the dresser. I am happy with the purchase.
I got 2. The first one took me a little longer to put together because the booklet does not show that there are two sizes of the same looking pieces. The second one took about 40 minutes to an hour to put together. The drawers are pretty deep. If you had one of those plastic "dressers" before, you would be pleased to know that this dresser's drawers are deeper. The reason why I gave it four stars is because the drawer handles look shiny in the picture but they have more of a cast iron look to them in the real life, and also some of the drawers lock/ stop in the middle of opening/closing them. Not a big problem but sometimes it gets annoying. It doesn't happen that often so that's OK . One of my dressers had a red long smeared stain on it which, thankfully, wiped off with no problem. Overall, this is a pretty good dresser and I would recommend it to anyone .
There's a huge whitish streak across the top. It was that way when it arrived. It's a lot smaller than I expected too. The drawers are way shallower than I thought. It took me about 4 hours total to out together; 2 hours on frame and 2 Hours on drawers. It says to not use a drill, but I'd highly suggest it. The screws & other hardware aren't labeled and I made a mistake putting one piece one. I had to back track, take it off, and do if correctly. I was glad I didn't strip the screws doing so. It's more sturdy than other particle board chests I've bought. I like the black color and silver hardware. The drawers are perfect for childrens clothes. I think adult sweaters & jeans would wear out the drawers quickly. The plastic tracks the drawers slide on kinda stick or give some resistance. But, I like that they have a "catch" so the drawer doesn't just pull all the way out. I was hoping to get each of my boys one for their room, but I'm going to give it a few weeks before i do. I will definitely be borrowing a drill if I do!
The top panel was cracked through an attachment point when I unpacked it. The outer cardboard packaging had no signs of rough handling that would indicate that it was damaged during shipping. Fortunately, though, it didn't make assembling it impossible. A little wood glue, a clamp, some sandbags, and ingenuity cultivated as an aircraft structural repairer made it work. We buy from Walmart for the price, not the quality, though, so I can't complain too much.
Dresser came as a part of a set of 4 drawer, 3 drawer, and night stand. Unfortunately the 4 drawer came with 3 different colors of wood in the packaging (black, cherry, and walnut colors) and it was all supposed to be black. The 3 drawer had a part of a drawer board that was drilled incorrectly so we had to make it work and find a make-shift way to put it together which decreased the weight capacity that the drawer can hold. It was unfortunate. We made everything work because my daughter needed somewhere to put her things after just moving in and school starting. It worked but was not thrilled with the packaging flaws
I ordered two of these and one arrived broken and I've called twice for help with this and now I'm getting a run around. so looks like I'm out $112 The other one arrived intact. The drawers are pretty small so depending how my much clothes, you may need more than one.
When the dresser arrived, I was shocked at how many pieces there were. The assembly manual claimed it would only take 1 hour to build, but it took about 2.5 or 3 hours. After checking I had all the parts, I noticed a lot of the wood was damaged, with severe scratches and markings. I didn't have time to wait for replacement parts, since I need a dresser in my new apartment, so I built it anyways. I cannot believe how cheap it looks! I truly don't understand how this dresser got so many decent reviews. There are MUCH NICER pieces from Ikea at comparable prices, and I really regret purchasing this. Worst of all, the drawers simply do not fit, so I am left with an ugly, cheap dresser that doesn't even work properly. DO NOT BUY! This is worth about $25, not $80.
I am very dissatisfied with this product...I order from Walmart a lot and I have another dresser on the way(different brand) but this dresser had no screws to make for a sturdy finish...the only screws it actually had were the ones for the drawers side for the drawer to slid in...the dresser itself only had those little brown pieces...how is the dresser supposed to stay together with just a tiny piece of wood and its not actually wood...they are wrong for this dresser...before I ordered it I didnt think to look at the reviews on this one because I was looking at the price...but it is not at all worth it...I am trying to get in contact with the seller now so I can get a box(because I through the box out before it was put together) to send it back...the drawers do not stay on track...the whole dresser moved and was whoop sided when we picked it up to be moved to the room it was going to...we had to push it back together when we put it down...and to top that off a few of the boards were damaged when we got it....I am very very disappointed and displeased...ALL I WANT IS MY MONEY BACK!!!!...
