This is the perfect sauce for Asian inspired dishes. Tonight I made fried rice with broccoli and chicken and used a ginger sesame sauce but it needed something (???) so I added the maggi mild sweet chili sauce
I first had this chili sauce when I was in Singapore. Natives there like to put it on their KFC. At first I thought it was ketchup and then I saw a bottle and realized it was not. I saw people dipping their French fries in it as well. I tasted it and loved it. It goes great on virtually all meat. I believe that Nestlé's actually owns this company.
My only complaint: I had to buy 12 bottles and it had a very short expiration date (about 6 months)
I first had this sauce in the islands, years ago now, but that taste stayed with me. I've been ordering the Maggi Sweet Chili Sauce for some time now and it truly satisfies. Whenever I've used it when entertaining, folks love it!! I've used it as a dipping sauce for shrimp (fried or cocktail), especially coconut shrimp. I've used it as a marinade for meats and as a sauce to go on top of meats. It is wonderful!!
I put the chili on most ever thing I eat I have 3/4 of a bottle since I got them a few weeks ago. If I can find me a small bottle I may start carrying some with me when I eat out.
I had THOUGHT I was Buying "Maggi Seasoning Sauce" But I was DELIGHTFULLY Surprised at just GREAT this OTHER Sauce is! I normally do NOT Like "Chili" Sauces but the Emphasis of THIS Sauce SHOULD be "SWEET"!!! There is VERY little "Chili" Flavor and therefore is VERY "Mild" I add it to almost EVERYTHING I eat... Hamburgers, Broiled Chicken, Eggs, etc. I would STRONGLY Advise you Try this stuff!
Perfect for a stir fry of vegetables, chicken or shrimp.
It is sometimes difficult to find this particular sauce at my grocery, so I resorted to an online purchase out of desperation (it is THAT good). Happily it was packaged so well that not a bottle was broken, and I can now use it with abandon since it comes six bottles at a time.
Love this stuff in oriental foods I cook. Makes a great dipping sauce. just wish the store carried it by the single bottle again, Pain having to buy a case at a time. No control over the expiration date when ordering on line.
Purchased it from Walmart at Champaign, IL on Dec 24, 2020. Found a fly inside a sealed sauce bottle. Very unhygienic!!!!!!
