This lighting kit really completes this lego build! The lighting was relatively easy to install when following the directions. This build felt incomplete and hard to appreciate the details without the lighting; with the lights it is so much better. I plan to purchase lighting kits to add to the rest of my builds.
Aside from being unable to turn off the flashing lights function, it was a good lighting set for the house. It takes awhile to set up, but overall is good.
Took a little work but figured it out makes the house look so cute.
A bit intricate however it made a perfect gift for my child as they loved the challenge.
Good product but like all of this type it can be a little fiddly, but the rewards are worth it.
Everything was individually packaged and labeled. instructions were pictures easy to follow. I've seen reviews for other similar products that said the wires broke easily, these seem sturdy and did not have any problems with them breaking. I took a chance on this set since at the time it did not have any reviews and i couldn't be happier with my purchase. You also have the choice of using the battery pack set which is included or it has an adapter to plug straight into a USB device which is the route I went. Super bright lights. This takes your work from cool to amazing and magical. Obviously your working with teeny tiny items so patience and breaks are key. We found that wearing a 20 headlamp from the hobby shop worked wonders. We didn't know leds could be so bright running on batteries. You do have to handle carefully, but you don't have to stress over it. The value for what went into the planning of this product is really amazing :)
Lightailing for legoComes with approximately 40 lights. I found this very rewarding in the end but felt an overload of frustration during the four hours it took me to put these on my lego gingerbread house. It worth it but, be prepared for frustrations and exasperation.The final effect is awesome though!
Overall looks great but hard to put together and makes some of the bricks not fit as they should
I bought the Gingerbread house and after I had it put together, I saw the ad for the light kit. To install the lights, I had to remove the roof and chimney. The instructions for putting the lights on were terrible. It was all pictorial and it wasn't really clear where to start with the four strands of lights. Especially the tree. It took me about 5 hours from start to finish and quite a bit of swearing! The end result was great, but I won't be disassembling this before putting it away for the season. (I added the Santa on the chimney).
