I have this refrigerator for 6.5 years and I love it. It's standing up to 5 active kids and still working.
I love the modern look of my fridge!!! Its sleek finish fits my decor style perfectly. The way this fridge runs so smoothly and quiet is also a plus! My favorite feature is the built in ice maker, which provides me unlimited crushed ice. I love the separated shelves as well, it helps keep the food neat and organized.
It's perfect for my husband and I. Lots of room and easy to take care of.
We loved our GE side by side so much we replaced with the same, but newer, model. Bought a GE side by side in ‘08 it served us well until icemaker & water dispenser trouble in ‘23. We can't live without water (& my husband prefers the icemaker in the freezer) Plenty of room in this full size fridge for us. We liked our old handles better than the newer ones so we swapped them out.

Got this a month ago. Water and ice dispenser works well. The ice maker is a bit noisy but you get used to it. It does, however make way more ice than I use. Nice parts that seem like they'll last quite some time!
This refrigerator is basic. If you were looking for anything more than basic, do not buy this. The parts turn color as you will see by the photo where the water comes out. And this is less than five years old and now the icemaker has broken. I have replaced the water tray several times. Also, you cannot keep this clean as there are smudge marks everywhere every time you open the refrigerator. If you were looking for something more luxurious, this is not the refrigerator for you.

In 2020 I purchased my first home! I trusted the builder to put in high quality appliances. I moved into the house in 2021. Since then the door handles have fallen off 4 times!!! It seems to be a common problem with these refrigerators; however, repairs are labeled as “cosmetic “ and NOT covered by warranty. Imagine that, using poor materials and making the consumer deal with the consequences. In the 1.5 years I've had this refrigerator, I've been highly disappointed! I would NOT recommend GE, I wouldn't want anyone to deal with these issues.
Motherboard failed 3 months after warranty, got the flashing 0s not even a year and half old. DO NOT BUY
