Recently went through a health scare that involved 2 visits to ER, and a Hospital admit. IV antibiotics as well as 4 varieties of oral antibiotics. I was warned by doctors to prepare for severe gastro distress for weeks, advised to start probiotics immediately. I purchased this Culturelle "Ultimate Balance" at the recommendation of the pharmacist. Not once in the course of taking this product did I have the slightest sign of digestive/gastro distress. I was on a variety of antibiotics concurrently for 6 weeks, I never experienced a secondary side effect (As a woman, this includes other effects we are accustomed to experiencing when taking antibiotics). I believe my great success in recovery was due in great part to the supplemental aid provided by this product. Doctors were amazed with my recovery, I now continue daily intake using Culterelle "Daily Probiotic".
A good product to take when on antibiotic therapy to maintain the normal bacteria in your gut.
I bought this because I was put on an antibiotic and I didn't want it to upset the stability of my gut. It worked so well I didn't even notice that I was on an antibiotic. It was reasonably priced also.
I was diagnosed with pneumonia after a abrupt stay of 3 days in the hospital that resulted also in three abscesses in my right lung. During the hospital stay I received antibiotics through IV every 6 hours. After being sent home I was given strong antibiotics to take every 12 hours. I am 3 weeks into those 6 weeks and have found the probiotics that I use to your company have started to really hurt my stomach. I have no prior experience, so I do not know if this is usual.
Been taking for last 3 weeks, with no positive results. Disappointing
