Vibrant Life Gravity Pet Waterer, X-Large, 4 Gal is perfect for my dogs.(cats like it too) I was surprised to see how huge the water dispenser is. I have a smaller one, but this size is good for keeping water longer. I didn't have any trouble putting it together. You remove the top from the base, fill it up with up to four gallons of water. I filled it half way, because I knew it would be a little heavy. It can be a little tricky trying to connect the jug on it's base, the reason is water starts pouring out of course, so you need to get it connected as quickly as possible. You turn it on the base, it has to fit just right for it to work. Once on, it should fill up the bowl part that's attached and be ready for you pets to enjoy.
Have 2 small dogs . The size is good for them . Holds enough water for about 5 days . It's easy to clean and fill . Sturdy but not too heavy . Not so big that it gets in the way . It fits in corner by fridge and not a tripping hazard . Fresh water always available without a huge container in the way .
I'll be honest, at first I didn't expect much out of this product. I didn't think it would work very well or be something that would offer much use. But, I'm happy to say I was wrong. This gravity waterer is very easy to put together and take apart. It holds a lot of water, and as simple as it's design is, it's actually very functional. The water stops pumping into the bowl part when the water raises high enough to the opening of the bottle, so it never overflows, and once the water starts to get low in the bowl as your pet drinks the bottle automatically releases a little bit more water down into the dish. The gravity waterer also comes apart very easily for easy clean up with warm soap and water. This is a very handy product to have, because you can just fill it with water, set it and leave it, and your pet will always have fresh water to drink. I've only been using it for a few days now with my two cats and they took to it right away. So far so good and definitely pleasantly surprised by how decent this product is.
Very happy to see a “made in USA” sticker on this! I put it in a boot tray that I also got from Walmart to help handle the splashing when my guys drink. Holds a good amount, even for a really big dog. Be aware that it's pretty heavy when full. I underestimated the first time I filled it and lost hold of it while setting it down. I haven't had any problems, no leaks or anything. Seems like a good waterer!
When I first got this pet waterer I could not get the bottle to attach to the bottom. But when I showed it to my husband he attached it first try. I was not turning the bottle in right direction!! It is very sturdy and stable. I do have to put water in the bottle, attach the bottom and then turn over to prevent spills. I also place it on a pad to protect wood floor. Our indoor cat has to adjust to it but think she will. May get a second one for porch cats. Very nice product.
This gravity waterer was easy to pop together and worked great My dogs had never used one of these before but they used it easily right away. It was nice having fresh water available without having to fill their dish all the time. I recommend this useful and great quality product.
Its always good to be prepared for what might happen while you are gone away from home, you never know when you might make it back, so it's good to have an adequate supply of water for your pets. This waterer works good and both my cat and dog like it, its fairly easy to setup, the only change that would it much more useful, would be to place a cap with a one way valve on top of the tank so that water can be continually added without having to mess with the whole thing.
We purchased this waterer in hopes that we will have to fill it less frequently for our large Rottie. He drinks over a gallon a day and our previous waterer held a littles than 3 gallons. It holds almost 4 gallons so it has helped in that regard. The bowl is quite large and deep which I like. The reason I gave a 4 star rather than a 5 star rating is filling it and reattaching it to the bowl is bit of a pain. The reservoir is round and symmetrical and when full quite heavy. Flipping over and back together is difficult due to the shape and weight. Other than that, I highly recommend if you have a water guzzler like we do.
The same review as the feeder. Liked the price,but was really disappointed in the quality of the product. Very thin material!!
Had this item for about 4 months. Went to fill it today and the lid has completely split along the top edge almost completely around, making it useless for its purpose. Also, within a month of getting it, the lid started collecting what I thought was dirt in the ridges, but no amount of scrubbing would remove it.
