Excellent flavor with a good kick to it. I make coconut curry with a tablespoon of this and 1 can of Thai Cococut Milk
Slap the entire bottle on 2 chicken breasts in a slow cooker with a dash of soy sauce and cook on high for 2 hours, then shred the chicken. Add the chicken back and add 1 slices red pepper and 1 can of coconut milk and mix it altogether. Cook on high for 30 min, and while thats cooking make your rice. This is a staple meal at my house and it costs about $15/4 servings.
This curry paste is a staple for Thai dishes and it was really hard to find during pandemic. But I was able to score one at my local Walmart. It tastes so fresh and tastes like home made. I even bought red curry paste to create different recipes with.
I like this paste to make Thai special Fish curry
The size is very small but the taste is really good. Would buy again.
TJs suddenly discontinued my favorite pre made green curry sauce so I thought I'd give this one a try. Glad I did! This is a paste, not a sauce so its necessary to add your own touch to your creations. In my case, I love traditional curries - so I add my own coconut milk, vegetables, and a protein. I use about 2 tablespoons, but depending on your add more / less as desired. There is not a lot of heat in this paste, so to spice it up I add one small thai pepper to my dish. You could also add pepper flakes or jalapenos. Serve with rice or rice noodles for a delicious home made, healthy meal.
I dont understand the reviews that rate this product badly ! Granted I am white and dont like things very spicey hot, but am a foodie none the less, with an Italian momma who taught me to be critical. TK green curry paste as been and remains my go-to paste to make chicken and pork curry dished ! We have enjoyed the results from 2 tablespoons of this in our Thai curry for two, for many years. I would not change a thing about this product. For those who want thongs more spicey, maybe there should be a second tier of the TK products to satisfy their taste buds.
Zucchini and mushroom go great with this spice for a healthy side or even main dish
Had to use quiet a lot to obtain any kind of flavour. Also had to order this in as Walmart did not have this on their shelves?
Very disappointed. I bought the Red Curry paste (mild) and I bought this (hot). I braced myself (just in case) and took spoons to sampled each. What a let down!!! BOTH were bland. Both tasted the same and I am the one who picks out the secret ingredient in a lot of peoples' recipes.
