Everyday my vehicle would show check engine light. It always was where a rat or mouse had chewed wires under the hood. Since attaching the under Hood Animal Repeller, I haven't had anymore problems. This was well worth the money. I would recommend this product to anyone. Excellent buy.
Had for over a week, so far so good. Fast delivery and easy install. Hopefully we don't have any more problems. Twice we have had a vehicle disabled by a squirrel eating the wiring into.
So far so good. Only had a week and squirrels do seem to notice but since the weather has gotten warmer, they probably won't be getting under the hood and eating the wires in my car until cold weather returns. It was easy to install under the hood, even for an elderly lady. The squirrels do play around in front of my car but not as much, and they act strangely and not as comfortable as before I installed this. Unfortunately, I don't know what else to try if this doesn't work.
Item appears to be working. Will need more exposure time to get a complete rating.
lots of critter damage in the fall with wire being chewed and nests built. Placed 2 microwave under hood animal repellers and don't know if it is those two items, the moth balls, the fox urine spray, the Rat gluten pellets, or the ivory soap bars, but at this point two whole days without infringement of the engine....this has been the biggest nightmare...hope they continue to work!
Don't waste your money and time. I installed it and almost immediately still had animal paw prints all over my hood. I should have expected this because prior to putting it in the engine bay, I held the device about 1 foot from my cat and he just sat there, no reaction.
This makes a really obnoxious high pitched noise. I'm sure it would discourage squirrels - but it hurts my ears too. Definitely not "inaudible to humans".
I had a mouse problem in the cab of my old pickup. I started using a plug-in rodent repeller & it worked for weeks. I wanted a battery repeller & got this one. Within 2 days of switching over, I had mice back. Very disappointed.
