I bought this Sony speaker to replace a speaker with an unheard of brand name. That one lasted about 9 months. I really liked that one, too, sounded good for the price and included a digital clock. The Sony one doesn't, but that's okay. It has a good sound with more bass than the other one and takes up less space. I'm hoping it lasts as much longer time.
This is actually my 2nd Sony SRS_XB13 Extra Bass speaker in the past 2yrs. I used my first one almost 2yrs ago. A lot on construction job sites, canoeing, swimming, socializing and having beverages this little speaker has lived up to its name. I think it's great actually when one of my friends has a "Full size pill speaker and thinks it's top notch" and I'm not one to boast but I'm like "... hey man, check out my little speaker for real. And if you place it evenly especially on a thin wood table surface it will even amplify the bass through the surface it is sitting on. And I'm always wanting to be the ""d.j."... I do not like that term I just love music and this speaker is worth every penny. I wouldn't hesitate purchasing another Sony product.

Not loud enough and bass makes rattling sound a tad,and that's not even turnin it all the way up so it gets hard to hear
Plays beautifully. User's manual is a pictorgram. Harder to decipher than one of those asian manuals with butchered English. Would prefer asian manual with butchered English. No online user's manual that is written rather than pictogram.
Idk if I got a broken one or what but the battery never lasts and I gotta keep checking it when charging cause it's not charging. light goes off saying it's charged then I go to use it and it's telling me to charge it. The 12 model is way better sounding in my opinion but had charging issues too after a year of use. I want to like it but having issues. Should of exchanged it but probably too late now.
Speaker is priced right for what it provides. If you're looking for something with bass and high audio quality this isn't the speaker for you. This audio fills a bedroom size room and will give you good decent sound.
This speaker IS NOT LOUDAS ADVERTISED! It's cute, relatively compact and the price point isn't bad so that's a plus however… if you're looking for something loud for a get together, party or any event that has more than 4 people buy more than one or keep looking!
I'm totally annoyed all of this technology is nothing for the young. For people like me it would be better to just put in print directions, serial number(s), model number(s)
