I love this! As a woman with endometriosis (so I get horrible cramps in my pelvis and my back) this thing is working absolute wonders pain meds usually don't help me only heat, and as somebody who is constantly working, this thing does wonders! It does not work with a normal small power bank for some stupid reason that is my only critique on it. You have to have a pretty hefty power bank for it, but this is absolutely amazing!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having a cordless, portable heating pad is amazing. It's SO much better to be able to be able to move around and still receive the benefits of the heat, and you can charge it pretty much anywhere with its universal USB connector. I love that it heats up quickly with three heat settings and has an adjustable belt. You can also spray it with water for a moist heat treatment, which is a nice option. I doubt I will be using the traditional heating pad with cord anytime soon!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Sunbeam GoHeat USB powered heating pad. This is the perfect size for my lower back & menstrual cramps. The heating pad is approx. 11.5x7 inches and has a strap/belt that is adjustable. I plug it into my computer when I am sitting at my desk and it feels amazing on my lower back. I also use it with a power bank and in my car!! It has 3 heat setting, low/medium & high and auto shut off, which will turn off in 2 hours if the heat settings are not adjusted (then the time starts over) just like most heating pads or blankets. What make this unique is the size, I am able to place it on more areas comfortably and feel the heat. It is also washable.
i love this thing but im using it as a heated base layer, not muscle relief. its a mediocre heating pad, if your looking for relief. i would say it hangs out around 110°. nice and cozy but not a penetrating heat. but if your in search of a cheap alternative to heated jackets, this thing is amazing. it huggs nicely to the body, and for the most part is comfortable all day long. no gigantic bulky batteries and adapters, wear whatever layers you want. it doesnt blouse around while climbing, crawling, or just generally working. and i can use the portable batteries I have on hand. do yourself a favor and grab some velcro to slap on your batteries, and you wont have to worry about using the extension or wearing out the plug.
1. there was no power plug included. 2. it does not get very hot, 3. the timer shuts off too soon 4. I like being able to use it while I am driving. 5. it has a large strap that will fit around my thigh and knee area
Beware the cover picture on the box. It makes it look like you charge the pad on your computer then go for a walk; not so! The unit only operates when plugged into a USB port! VERY deceptive advertising on the box!
I bought this for my sister who has lower back pain. She needs a heating pad that she can still do things while moving around and not stuck sitting there on the couch. This item's name looked as though it would be portable and on the go. IT IS NOT. For $35, it should be complete with being able to both charge in the wall or other outlet AND have the portable power bank that allows it to be used on the go. Don't put a description in your product's name if it isn't going to be able to be used as such without having to buy something else!! VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS PRODUCT!!
I have MS and severe scoliosis and use heating pads constantly for the pain. I needed a heating pad for my car. The description of the pad made it seem like this one just needed to be plugged in to my computer, a power bank, or car. This is not true. It only slightly got warm when plugged into my laptop. If that is the warmest that it ever gets, then this pad is a sad product. It would not work on the jump starter my mechanic husband uses to jump start dead car batteries and charge the tools he uses. It is literally one of the strongest yet smallest power banks on the market with USB ports. This product would have been a game changer for me and made me more mobile for everyday life. It was a true disappointment. If you buy it, even buying at least a $50 power bank is no guarantee that you will be able to feel any significant heat output to overcome your pain level. Alot of the reviews state that it doesn't work with a power bank, and I wish I had read those before ordering. I was so busy that I didn't have time.
This unit is not ready to use without purchasing an adapter strong enough to power it. Also it is not cord free you must be attached to the cord for it to work.
Don't buy it, even if you read a good review. It doesn't heat well, even on high. It also covers a very small area. Definitely not worth the money
