Works great and does the job ! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Tub sits well on the pad, seems sturdy and clean. We set it on our level cement pad. Its a bit slick when wet, only reason I gave it one less star. I'll put some stair tread sticker tape on it. I would buy this again. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I went back and forth between this pad and another higher priced one I found online. Ultimately between the free shipping and promotional code with JET, I decided to give this one a try. So far I am pleased, but will report back with a longer term review. I started by making a hot base in our backyard with tamped down soil and some gravel. When the pads arrived they were very easy to setup. The only issue we had was that the little brackets which secure two sections of pad together kept popping out on some section. It really isn't that big of a deal because once the tub was on top there was nowhere for them to go! The pads were sturdy and stable and so far we haven't seen any issues with them. Overall I am pleased with this purchase. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We purchased a hot tub that fits 5 to 6 people and unfortunately had no where level to place it. We bought the spa pad at Sam's club. Although the quality was not quite as good as some of the more expensive pads we investigated, for what we paid it did the job. We were easily able to level it with stones underneath and it sturdily supports our hot tub. I would defininitely recommend this for you if you need a place for your own tub.
The pad is a quality item, it looks good and is functional. The only issue I found is that the dog-bone type of connectors just plain will not stay in the sections of the pad when you try to turn it over. The manufacturer needs to correct this deficiency, it makes the use of the item very difficult. I finally used the sections without the connectors and it is working fine for my new spa.
I was hoping the manufactuer would have fixed the connecting pieces that the other reviews talked about, but they did't. Knowing it would be an issue we had 4 people try to turn it over, but the dog bone pieces still wanted to pop out. We got two more people and then we were successful at turning it over since we were able to keep all 6 pieces straight. I think we could've also used dry wall screws to secure thr dogbone connecters, but my husband didn't want to do that. The other brand (EZ pad) would have cost $100 more. It may have been worth it.
if you unable to pour a concrete pad then these may be an alternative but i hope you have lots of patience and good eyes. it snaps together easily however once you turn them over the dogbones that hold them together fall out easily and you are back to the drawing board. It took four people to get it turned over and into place because the dogbones kept falling out. Pay the money and get a concrete pad poured if you can
Even at the discount price I am sorry that I didn't buy the other brand, EZ Pads. I know someone with one of these and they are a for superior product.
Save your money! This is a poor imitation of the EZPad. The dog-bone connecters that everyone on here are complaining about should be listed in the description. They're not because nobody would buy it. It also gets soft after being in direct sunlight. The original is only $100.00 more and worth it. I had no choice but to use this because my tub beat the pad to the house. This is also something that was not supposed to happen but the shipping was screwed up somehow. I had to assemble the thing with drywall screws! Get the original if you're going to use a pad.
This pad is impossible to flip over once you have put it together. The connectors are very flimsy for the weight of the panels, and when you try to turn it over after connecting, the weight pulls the whole thing apart, even with 2 people. It is definitely going back.
